Leeches Rule

The Giant Amazon Bloodsucking Leech. I got Leeched once, in Australia (Blue Mountain rain forest), and it was a nightmare that still haunts me. And that was nothing compared to the GABL.

Incidentally, I love this competition, love it, but why are we bothering when we all know the Honey Badger will get short shrift, the fantastic Sun Bear will undoubtedly go the same way, and, mentioning no names, certain persons of influence will promote the Cone Snail to a thrilling crawl over the finish line reminiscent of a Zimbabwean "election". Just sayin'.

I believe Badger seconded a number of those you say haven't been seconded on page 5. Wolverine was also seconded on page 5

I'm a honey badger man through and through but as it's already been secinded, knowing the dark forces that rise up to ensure it never wins anyway, I may as well nominate something else;

Aurochs (or at least the modern version of)

Apart from the Polar Bear, I count 5 former Grand Animal Bowlerists who have yet to actually qualify:

Lion, Hippo, Black Mamba, Orca, Croc.

Not saying they should be in there (and I'm certainly not nominating them), but if they don't get in there may be a real question mark over the eventual champion. Beating a second-string field etc.

The Wolverine

" a solitary animal, has the reputation for ferocity and strength out of proportion to its size, with the documented ability to KILL prey many times larger than itself."

Not my words but the words of Wikipedia no less!
