Sven Goran Eriksson will name Arsenal's teenage star Theo Walcott in England's provisional World Cup squad. (Various)

Not sure about the above? seems to be trying to find another Rooney!

If he wants a pacy youngster then he must take Lennon. Why take someone unproven?

This sounds like gossip-mongering gone wild to me.

I think it would be a good call. He obviously has bags of natural talent and he is an unknown quantity. He has pace, finesse and can finish the ball. Many decent players make it into the world cup squads with little experience.

Might aswell take him. I think he has bags of potential, its still a bit of a strange call with Aaron Lennon doing so well.

Funnily enough I was trying to persuade my mates in the pub on Saturday evening that including Theo could be a great idea. There is always some inexperienced young player who bursts onto the scene during a world cup or Euros. In the past it has been Owen and Rooney - why not this time Theo Wallcot:clap2:

Three English players from "the French team"? Surely not.

Agree. If the forwards are crocked we need to build from the midfield and Lennon has been outstanding IMO. Carrick is also worth a look.

Aaron Lennon deserves a place in the side as he has been superb for Tottenham in the past few months. Taking Walcott would be a big risk, but theres no doubt he is a very decent player.

I see your point, but both of those two had plenty of premiership experience before they were called up

if he did get in, and gets a game, would he be the first english player to be capped before he has played in a top flight league game?
