It was overhanging the line slightly, the actual ‘body’ of the ball looked out but a piece was overhanging the line

That angle from above the line showed clearly the other angle was misleading

Looks 'in' to me - as not the whole of the ball over the whole of the line.

Why is it it’s the Whole of the ball

The initial close-up made it look comfortably out. Perhaps an illusion - the part of the ball touching the grass being a cm or two past the line, with the upper part of the ball overhanging.
