So you prefer valid goals to be disallowed? You know what I mean. VAR for fucks sake. Sucking the life out of the game.

1.88mm
Rightfully, not for Japan. You know what I mean. VAR for fucks sake. Sucking the life out of the game.
It's goal line technology and where were you when Watford thought they had score, and when our goal against Man Utd was allowed? For goodness sake, I mean really?
Is this really what football has come down to?
Shame.
I'd prefer the Ref and linesme... oh, forget it. This could drag on for days...So you prefer valid goals to be disallowed?
The ref couldn't see from his angle, and the linesman was the other side of the pitch with the goalposts blocking his view.I'd prefer the Ref and linesme... oh, forget it. This could drag on for days...
Yeah, I know. It's goal line technology and where were you when Watford thought they had score, and when our goal against Man Utd was allowed?
We've been here several times already.
But the correct decision was made…You know what I mean. VAR for fucks sake. Sucking the life out of the game.
The good thing about the law is that it's the outer edge of the line that counts, so it doesn't matter how wide it isSo...............
if (IF) the line as painted was just 1.88mm wider than the 12 cm max line width that the rules stipulate (leaving aside the alternative measure of 5 inches, which is wider than 12 cm), the ball would have been OUT.
This - possible - travesty of justice is going to stay with Germany for decades !
Not really as the line could be inside of the line painted. The width of the line is irrelevant really.So...............

Fair point, obviously I hadn't thought about this aspect, we're hardly talking lawn bowls here are we!What if the ball is in the air? Would it never be out unless it touched the ground?
I can’t see anything wrong with the current rule.
