It WILL be Englands year.:clap2:

And to all those complaining about the hype and expectation, that is what football is about, get used to it. (And its NOT just England that does this, it happens all around the globe)

well said. when england players come home after their latest 1/4s penalty exit they are greeted by fans cheering them, not rotten eggs. that is something we should be proud of.

alright beckham got some stick but that was because he did something girly and un english, nothing to do with the result. if he had smashed the cnt in the face instead of his weedy kick he would be King by now. he certainly learnt from that.

anyway i cannot stand most of them, rudeboys, scousers and moral lightweights, but thats not the point. we are all english and we all have faults. but at least we are not French.

I will be out in South Africa for the whole 5 weeks. If England get knocked out early we will embark on a tour of Southern African countries!

I cant wait for the draw on Friday and then planning our trip can start properly!

England til I die!

Shiver me frickin' arse cakes Mr B where does all this independent financial wealth (and time!) come from? Did you win the lottery? Invest wisely? Do you save all your money for football and eat porridge all the year round?

Mr B. Would you be so kind as to add your U2 stats to my band thread? I guess you also got some impressive Boss figures as well? The board needs to know!

Having got so fed up of all the overpaid useless idiots in the England team I have decided to create a new national side:

FC England of Great Britain

Who's with me?

Here, the Faroes have a relatively decent manager now and won a game in the past few months!

Sounds like the Albion.:lolol:

I will be supporting England , would love a final v Spain, atmosphere in our local bar would be incredible.

I'd like to see those who have stated 'No' actually put their money where their mouth is and boycott watching any England games. Attention seeking liars...

Possibly the WORST thread / ll ever.

We are nt plastic Man Ufans we are football ans and are English. England should mean as much to people as their club if tey are real footall fans.

And recently it'snot been shit we've been fantastc under Capello - Both Croatia games were awsome

the world cup is the PINNACLE of football

any football fan not excited by it is just plain STRANGE

Exactly - The World Cup is 100 times better than any club competition - the Champons, Second Third and Fourth League included

I'm glad someone else has asked this. I earn a reasonable screw yet I struggle to get to Brighton home games (although if you haven't got kids your disposable income rockets). But even when I had no dependants I'd have struggled to spend five weeks touring southern Africa - were you involved in the Brinks Mat robbery or something?

i think england have a decent chance.......there aren't THAT many 'great' teams about and super fabio really has motivated some of the 'stars' that previously weren't really doing it for england

spain and the netherlands are (imo) the only european teams stronger than us......the argies struggled to qualify but will still be dangerous, and as always, brazil will be good

and don't write off the germans or italians, who are both able to raise their games at major tournaments

Of course I will be. England flag hanging from the porch at home, every England game watched down the pub wearing England colours, and once we're knocked out, I won't bother watching the rest of the tournament.

That's the sort of remark that pisses off a lot of people. I can think of at least eight regular posters on NSC who aren't English (and I'm sure there are quite a few more).

And, sorry, while I'm an England supporter, the team doesn't mean as much to me as the Albion do and I don't think that means that I'm not a "real" football fan (whatever that means).

I love football but..........
I can't stand the hype about England,
I can't stand the the fact that they measure the World Cup by how many teams have players in the Premiership,
I can't stand tossers like Ashley Cole, Ferdinand and Lampard in the celebrity England XI,
I can't stand former footballers taking shite on TalkPremiersport,

so, no, I won't be bothering with it.

My sentiments exactly.

Poor sentiments.

So name one player that shouldn't be in the eng squad by their footballing ability - (couldn't give a f*** about their private life)
