Have they said what the "missile" was?

The Argus made no mention of a missle being thrown, just a hand gesture.

Yes it does, in the very first paragraph (article now online)...

"An Albion supporter who made throat-slitting gestures and threw a missile at rival fans has been spared an order banning him from games."

Sorry didn't see that. That makes it more serious but if the court assessed all the details and decided not to press charges that should be the end of it. Its up to the club but I think a ban would be harsh. I am sure the said person will be reflecting on his actions and is very unlikely to do it again.

The club will ban him for sure.

Buddie scheme?

I just get the feeling if more had joined my call of have a palace pal we could have avoided all this trouble, well we have a chance at the away game.
It works like this we each get contact details of a palace fan who individuals can then contact and meet prior to the palace game, they would look after you and at the next home game you take care of them!

The missile could have been a hot dog like someone threw at Adebouyer at Eastlands.

The Argus should not be printing names and addresses until proven guilty. That pre-season friendly between Brighton and Aberdeen in July 2010 listed all the lads involved in trouble before their court hearings. I don't think their neighbours or employers would be particularly impressed seeing that in the paper whatever the outcome.

And would the Argus publish an apology to the ones that were innocent? I doubt it.

All newspapers publish names of people charged with all sorts of offences, day in, day out, long before they're tried in court. Once you're charged, it becomes a matter of public record unless you're a juvenile. That's just the way the law works I suppose, like it or not. Nothing to do with football.

"that's just the way the law works"

So get off your arse and do something about it. Or you could just sit here and object via your keyboard and wait for somebody else to challenge all the things you don't agree with. Was the point you missed. As usual.
