Well done for trawling that out. How have I been a hypocrit ? I have said what he did was WRONG but in the scheme of the events that night it was pretty mild. Have you never done anything you regretted after a few beers or are you perfection personified ? It sounds like you are.

Blah blah. I wasn't making judgements on what he did, I'm merely pointing out that you called them all wannabe hoolies and then say that you are not the type to cast aspersions.

You have a point to be fair Buzzer. On this occassion I think I was wrong and that he was foolish but not a " hoolligan ".

Im sure PC Darren will give the club a honest and common sence view of the situation , but at the end of the day there are plenty more queing up to get a season ticket ,

But only because you KNOW the bloke through REMF.

Buzzer is right. If that hadn't been the case, you'd be calling for him to be tarred and feathered. Similarly, superphil is conspicuous by his absence on this thread.

If you ask me, throwing stuff from the wsu should warrant a season long ban, maybe longer. What a f***ing prick.

the whole Palace saga stinks of witch hunt to the point where its become almost comical .
A witchhunt? What because a bloke chucking stuff might get banned?

Boo f***ing Hoo. If you feel so strongly about it, you could spend your time writing to the club coherently instead of the single sentence drivel + smilie you post on here.

Your whines really are desperately boring.

The Argus should not be printing names and addresses until proven guilty. That pre-season friendly between Brighton and Aberdeen in July 2010 listed all the lads involved in trouble before their court hearings. I don't think their neighbours or employers would be particularly impressed seeing that in the paper whatever the outcome.

And would the Argus publish an apology to the ones that were innocent? I doubt it.

I know what you mean.

After reading this thread, I'm actually quite glad I don't have enough loyalty points for the palarse game.

He used the REMF thing as a mitigating factor in the sentencing, not as part of the case itself. People will chuck in any old crap to get themselves off.

I once dealt with a horrible individual who had punched an innocent passer by in the face one night, for no other reason than because she was pissed and trying to show her mates how hard she was. The victim suffered a fractured cheekbone and an understandable loss of confidence as a result.

The perpetrator firstly denied the offence, and then, when found guilty, attempted to use the fact that she was pregnant and hopeful of securing council accommodation- she was FIFTEEN years old at the time- as evidence of her turning her life around and settling down. Now call me an old stick in the mud, but I'm not convinced getting pregnant at fifteen, still drinking, and moving out of your family home for a council flat is a sign of a reformed character, let alone any indication of settling down.

But that is the sort of stuff people will chuck before the courts in the hope of a sympathy vote. It may be- to your eyes and mine- irrelevant to the offence, but if it means getting a lesser punishment, then who can blame them for laying it on? Seems to work most of the time...

How can you compare the above offence with the offence talked about in this thread? Surely the above is far worse than a football fan getting caught up in the emotion of a local derby making a gesture and throwing a missile.

Yes what he did was wrong and i cant defend it (although I would say he could have done far worse). As for 'any old crap to get themselves off', why shouldn't the defendent highlight some of the good he has done in order to demonstrate maybe he is a decent person who just got caught up in the emotion of the night? I guarantee he has raised a damn sight more than many Albion fans for the REMF.

What is the general consensus on the 2 Albion related NEWS articles today?

Albion fan in Queens Rd, found guilty of gesturing and throwing a missile, no ban invoked.

Streaker at the England game was given a 3 year banning order!

I personally feel that the magistrate in the first case showed a very rarely seen commonsense attitude. But in the second case?

Sent from Pippa Middleton's lingerie drawer.

Lets face it, the streeker had no plans to come and see the Albion again in the near future or he was monumentally stupid/naive.
