Good luck Dean - you won't need it because you are a good manager and coach - our loss is another clubs gain - perhaps some at the club will realise it one day but unfortunately its too late

A case for Constructive Dismissal?

The Department of Trade and Industry states:

A tribunal may rule that an employee who resigns because of conduct by his or her employer has been 'constructively dismissed'. For a tribunal to rule in this way the employer's action has to be such that it can be regarded as a significant breach of the employment contract indicating that he or she intends no longer to be bound by one or more terms of the contract: an example of this might be where the employer arbitrarily demotes an employee to a lower rank or poorer paid position. The contract is what has been agreed between the parties, whether orally or in writing, or a combination of both, together with what must necessarily be implied to make the contract workable.

That comment from the chairman proves what a two faced prick he really is - dean didn't walk - he was pushed like everybody else - the comment was and this is for a fact " it would be in your best interests to leave the club" well all i can say is what comes around goes around and i hope one day dick knight rots
As I understand things, that is a complete misrepresentation.

Put your handbag away and stop talking a load of horse manure out of your backside.

It would be in his best interest to leave the club, the time has come for him to push himself careerwise and try and achieve something as a manager in a new club given that opportunity isn't available to him at ours. I think Dick regards Dean as a manager with good potential, not yet as seasoned as Micky, and it's in Deans best interests to let go and think of his managerial career if that what he beleives he is. If he stayed it would prove that he was only a manager by circumstance. Best of luck to him, spot on in leaving to prove his credentials as a manager.

It's another one of those 'we'll never REALLY find out' scenarios, when the actual story for the most part stays behind closed doors, until books are written...

I've normally got a lot of time for DK and what he has done and is doing for the Albion and, whilst I think MA will fire up the team and hopefully push for promotion, the whole manner in which DW has been treated is disgusting and maybe DK will eventually lose his position through a 'hostile' bid rather than an agreed succession and he will then know how DW probably feels. I hope the time that DW has taken to reach a decision means he has got a job sorted and if so, best of luck to him.

I think this heaps presure on Micky Adams to hit the floor running next season.

If we get off to a slow start, Adam, and Knight will come under a lot of pressure.

Wilkins left us one place of the play offs last year, and the team was going forward. Micky surely has to deliver at least a play off spot next season or will be seen as a failure.

A big mistake by Dick Knight. One I think he may come to regret

I agree huge pressure on them both. If they don't succeed then DW's sacking will look all the worse.

Good Luck Dean.
