Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
I suppose its McGhee but 2 seasons of that was in the championship conveniently ignored , if Wilkins had run the team over that period it would have been

Pl 97
won 12
Drawn 25
Lost 58
For 90
Against 172

You have been banging on about it being a results business and McGhee was sacked unfairly. But you are condoning the sacking of Wilkins, whilst condemning the sacking of McGhee.

He is having to rebuild a team which has been descimated over the years and is gradually adding to our youth team. Alot of clubs have a decent mix of young, intermediate and ageing pros. The core of our team are relatively inexperienced, but gradually finding their feet.

Quite frankly, yes. If you have an opinion on Wilkins, why not post it on one of the 20 Wilkins threads that have been on here over the last month. No, here's a better idea, be an attention whore and start a new thread.

You mean like the 'Cricket' thread. Remember the cricket? That sport where you learn how to find the bar and then the tricky skill of walking out of the ground without falling on your backside?

:bla::bla:

:D

All very well BoF but what say you about his team tactics and selection. What about his gravitas as a manager (great word)?

this is so funny its always acceptable to slag off McGhee as the original post did, nothing at all said by that but when Wilkins in in the spotlight, OH MY GOD , DON'T CRITICISE DEAN, HE'S BRIGHTON THROUGH AND THROUGH AND IS
A GREAT BLOKE,

Not strickly true that thought is it. I didn't slag off MM but when anyone did there was a large section of people on here who stuck up for him.

BOF

I am bored quite frankly of the " they are inexperienced finding their feet " line now, how long before we stop using that excuse for Cox, Robinson & Co, 19, 25 , 35, 75 ???

You're bored? What about us with all your anti-Wilkins threads? Seriously, have you any idea how many you've started since the beginning of the season?

grav·i·tas (grv-täs)
n.
1. Substance; weightiness.
2. A serious or dignified demeanor.

Didn't realise that was needed to be a football manager?

worked at Millwall.
Not sure it did. What tactical changes were required against Millwall? The line up and formation that won that game were the ones that we started with. There was also the Joel Lynch injury, which perhaps would have been a bit less serious if we had been able to get him off straight away rather than having him limp on as no one in the dugout had the authority to make the decision.

If you want to be childish...

No - your point about it being an open forum bears no relevance as to the tedium of the anti-Wilkins posts or not. I'm not going to but if I posted a poll thread asking who found all these U.S. anti-Wilkins threads boring there'd be a fair few who'd agree.

What's childish about that, then?
