also I expect our manager to be a prescence for the club he is representing, the sitting in the directors box every game is really pissing me off and I am very suprised Dick Knight hasn't told him to f*** off to the dug outs by now quite frankly

Spielberg. You say it is all about results and it is a results business.

What do you make of these stats? ???
Code:
P W D L F A Pts

Accrington Stanley 1947 - 1949 ???

Why? Seriously, what is it with you and this issue? Surely it is the managers personal preference. Whatever works for them.

the squad has definently improved, so he can take a lot of credit for that. however, bar millwall the performances have not - that is the worrying thing
I think you have to count Northampton and Southend as improvements. We played well in parts of those games, not over 90 minutes, but we won them which is better than last season.

I suppose its McGhee but 2 seasons of that was in the championship conveniently ignored , if Wilkins had run the team over that period it would have been

Pl 97
won 12
Drawn 25
Lost 58
For 90
Against 172

Les..it is not works for them it is what works for the team that he has put out. He is not some nobby permiership manager. The team is 'grass roots' 'muck and bullets football'. He is making a right arse of himself sitting in the stands like a comic impersonation of Sven.

What would you have? A discussion on racial semantics or perhaps a debate on the interest rate trend of the Chilean economy?

:)

Quite frankly, yes. If you have an opinion on Wilkins, why not post it on one of the 20 Wilkins threads that have been on here over the last month. No, here's a better idea, be an attention whore and start a new thread.

on balance i think wilkins has done ok ish. he's been fortunate that some other teams last season played very poorly towards the end and didnt catch us up. couple of good signings, but so far this seasons been too mixed. we certainly should have got somthing at Gillingham and then we go and loose our home form. somthings not quite right. lacking leadership and/or maturity in the squad, that needs to be addressed. it feels like his role is still that of a temporary manager holding the fort until a "proper" manager comes in.

so....this axe that you haven't got, that you don't grind. ???

this is so funny its always acceptable to slag off McGhee as the original post did, nothing at all said by that but when Wilkins in in the spotlight, OH MY GOD , DON'T CRITICISE DEAN, HE'S BRIGHTON THROUGH AND THROUGH AND IS
A GREAT BLOKE, If he does not deliver he will continue to be asked searching questions

fair enough - i would say southend was pretty dire, but credit where credit is due as wilkins made the changes that won us the game. northampton we only got something from as they blew it big time

the way i look at it is that we are in around the same position we were as when mcghee left, with the difference being that wilkins has got a better squad to work with. taking the basis of that millwall game, when i think we played to our full potential, we should be good enough to be in the play-off zone come the end of the season. trouble is wilkins has only got us playing to our potential once, which really is not good enough

No...what's NOT funny is you trying to play the 'honest broker' card and then betraying yourself within a few posts with more anti-Wilkins stuff. By all means criticise him but don't pretend you are being open-minded about this and please don't keep starting new threads on it. It's not necessary.

worked at Millwall. Worked in the 2nd half of last Saturday's game.

But it doesn't work with you....just about sums it all up really. Next time Deano should consult you before making any tactical changes.

Spot on.
