Wilkins looked (on the telly) typically brooding, scowling and lost in his own little world. Oh, until he appeared to have a pop at the Albion bench towards the end.

Hammond just showed why I and so many didn't rate him one bit when he was here. Basically, he's just MR ANONYMITY. We've been terrible in midfield this season, but it's no surprise to me that Crofts and Dicker had fantastic matches when up against that bottler.

true that

he did f*** ALL and the only chance he had to do anything of any worth he ROLLED BACK THE YEARS and f***ed it up

Hammond = poor man's Paul Reid.

Shabby the way Wilkins got rid of Reidy. Some would say head-mental.

Harding got a booing like I have not heard in a long time, well deserved he always thought he was bigger than the club, twat.

Hammond got a boo on announcement of his name, I gave him a clap given he was dedicated when he played for us.

Wilkins????? I did not see him the whole game!!!

i'd have thought sky would've made a bigger deal of the fact that southampton had 2 of our former players (one of which was captain) and our ex manager.......all 3 got a fairly brief mention, not sure they mentioned hammond being captain at all

I just wish we had him, the amount of times we've been out muscled this
season at withdean!

Yes we kept him quiet but hes a championship player and, Southampton wil march up that table with him at the forefront.

altho we out manoevred them today it was great but just a start. We need now to improve so that later in the year they will not turn up at withdean & totakky dominate at withdean with their power.

The booing of Harding still baffles me, considering most people agree he was rubbish when he played for us and we got a ridiculous £800,000 or so for selling him. Far more than he was worth, and we got rid.

Hammond was a much better player than certain people seem to recall, he never had a decent partner in the centre of our midfield in my opinion. But he's a quality player who played the ball through us on many occaisons today, whether you lot noticed it or not. The chance he missed was a bit of a shocker, but he's not left footed and he had to get height on the ball to get it away from Tunnicliffe.

Dean Wilkins would have deserved nothing less than a rousing round of applause for getting us to finish 7th in this division, that's a magnificent achievement and he gave us Glenn Murray, remember! There's so little respect from football fans anymore, to even think about booing Wilkins considering all he's done for this club is just wrong.

There was an article in the argus that Harding mentioned that he always got booed when he played against us - he did actually say that we didn't know everything that had gone on behind the scenes ? ? ? - As I have said many times before it is not made public what really goes on !!
