Just chuckling at Charlton
Thanks for pointing that out, and how embarrassing is that - to be told by palace that we have shit support.

Anyone not getting behind the team and getting on their backs this Saturday is purely and simply a traitor - Oldham were TWATS to our boys at theirs, and we must make them feel MOST unwelcome at Withdean!

I bet they are quaking in their boots! 4,000 people telling them off!

Albion captain Nick Forster has urged the Withdean faithful to stick with the team and act as a twelfth man.

"I don't like to generalise but perhaps northern fans seem to stick with their team that little bit more. That is not a criticism of Brighton fans at all, especially the away support, which is fantastic for a fairly small, family club.

"I am urging them to help us, because sometimes when they are cheering and doing their bit they can act as that extra man."

Couldn't agree more. Albion fans away from home are nearly always an inspiration to the team. The whingers at Withdean do the team no good at all. Same old story.

FFS shut the Feck up Forster you muppet.

A. To describe BHAFC as a small family club is not going to endear you to the fans and goes completely against what we have told the anti Falmer brigade for 10 years in fact we are a large club in waiting
B. To say Fans up North get behind their team more could not alienate you from fans in the South more, wee done
C. If you could possibly score a goal every now and again that might fire up the fans
D. Any Striker who is " pleased " with their play after 12 games without a goal should Shut the feck up and keep quiet

That is all.

Erm, the first two points Forster is quite right. The third and forth points, he does much much more than contributes goals to the team - He would be the LAST person in the team that I would drop, and I would guess that most people are pleased with his performances in the last 12 games. Mainly because despite the lack of goals he is still one of the better strikers in the league.

That is all.

Bottom line is we have been in this stadium for so long now people are sick of it. We have been treated with promotions over the years which have raised expectation and mid-table in league one is not a crowd pulling position.

Since the decision I honestly believe a lot of the purpose of going to Withdean has gone and a know a lot of people who are simply waiting for Falmer before they start going again regulary.

I think Withdean fatigue has hit its peak which is not good as we have a bit of a way to go yet.

Be interesting to see if there is any link between the yes decision and attendences falling.

Can't help but think that unless we are in the top four then gates of 4500 will be about our level until Falmer. Whether that is sustainable remains to be seen

That pretty much sums up my feelings on the matter. I think the football under Wilkins is much better than the tripe that McGhee served up. Deano is on something of a hiding to nothing. There are certain games under Deano where they have played some really good stuff. I can't think of hardly any entertaining perforances under McGhee (albeit at a higher level).

We are a small, family club. We could be a big club, but we're not at the moment.

I don't really think that morals come into it, how many on NSC were creaming it recently when it was mooted that David Gold might be getting involved in the Albion when he completes the sale of his interest in Birmingham. Can you see Albion fans protesting on the streets that someone who has had involvement in sex shops is joining our board, maybe one or two, but I can't really see it leading to a group of fans forming an FC Albion in protest...most of us would welcome investment in the club, pretty much regardless of its origin.
But that is very very different. There is nothing wrong with sex shops, there is something wrong with the persecution and unfair treatment of thousands. UNited fans protested against Glazer because they worried about how he was going to manage the club in the long term etc. I personally think that's a very valid reason and is not fickle whatsoever. In contrast, Man City supporters condemned United for selling to someone like Glazer yet they don't give a crap when Thaksin comes in just for the money.

Why are we moaning about the fans who go but can't get enthusiastic enough to start any noise, then we moan about the ones who complain while at the Withsilentdean and then even worse we complain at the fans about our poor attendances at the Withsilentdean.
Is it me or has someone forgotten one big thing here? At least they f***ing GO!!!
there are far too many fans who don't go but come on nsc to find out and discuss whats going on with the Albion, fair enough if you live 100 miles away or got a jon with shifts during Albion matches, but i hear so many fans on here slagging off the shit noise and the shit crowds when all along it is the Albion unfaithful who are the reason for this, being too dame lazy and selfish only wanting to spend their cash on glamour not passion. If i were you i would suggest Setanta sports and maybe a ticket for the nxt Leeds match but it makes me sick when we have to read their opinions on the Albion when they have been supporting them as much as the roof on the south-stand!. Well done to all the 4,379(i think) who did make the effort and sacrifice to watch an extremly poor match, It was painful but worth it in the end!.
When I'm at Falmer it will be those kind of games which will really help me enjoy the good times!

To be honest, what's the point of going to a football match if you are just going to sit there and slag the team off for 90 minutes and not get behind the team?
Yes everyone is "entitled" to have their opinions but shouting them at the players is another matter. Say it where they aren't likely to read it (for the majority of players, NSC).
Personally I HATE the games where there is no atmosphere. That's why away games are brilliant. Everyone who goes wants to be there and consequently get behind the team and it's been reflected in the good form away from home in the last 2 seasons.

Tosser,
A; It's where the club currently are, a family club, full of whingers and old couples with their flasks and rugs. And what the f*** that's got to do with Falmer is beyond me, hello, we've got the planning permission now!! Crowds of 4,500 wouuld suggest we are a small club.
B; Is there a more fickle bunch of fans than ours, read some of the shit on here. Circa 150 Trannie fans made more noise than we did
C; Is he not our leading goal scorer? Is he not our hardest working player?
D; Is being a striker all about scoring goals? Has he said he is pleased? Has he not got a right to ask that the supporters actually support the team, that is why you go isn't it??

Perhaps they have a right to have a go at the ones who don't attend, but keep sniping at those that do will soon drive them off if their results and form doesn't first.
Take away those whingers and the old couples with rugs and flasks and I doubt Mr Forsters wages could be paid. But hey he won't care, he just gets another club, but the flasks and rug brigade as you call them will probably still be there.

I would take issue with the comments about northern clubs, some of their supporters can be the most fickle and objectionable when things aren't going their way, look at the Man Utd fans who formed their own club because they objected to the take-over by the Glaziers....how many Chelsea, Fulham or QPR fans (southerners) did you hear moaning when their clubs were taken over by foreign businessmen, not very many!

As to the effect of the music, Gully and his girls, I personally have no problem listening to punk/ska classics as it is my era and many who go to the game with kids have commented on here how much they like the pre-match entertainment...horses for courses, you can't please everyone but have to strike a happy medium.

i don't think you can compare glazier to the others. the main reason being he bought the club and then whacked the purchase price onto the club's debt.
