I don't think it is to be honest. He has been awful in recent months, and it is sad to see because he has been a quality player for us in the past.

As for Nicolas I don't think the reserves is the be all and end all, maybe he could work harder to impress but he never seems to get a chance or be able to hold down a place no matter what he does? I am sure he will be on his way when his contract runs out in the summer, which is a shame I think.

When he has come off the bench he does the same as I have seen in the reserves. He never seems to pass forward. Every pass is back which puts more pressure on the defence.

I would argue that Young centre half pairings work very well - just look at Anton Ferdinand and Elliot Ward in this league last year. The pairing works when one of the two has maturity beyond his years, something which McShane clearly posses

were they the ones who played when dean hammond scored a header or two against them at home last year.don't think they were playing when i scored against them away from home though

One of them is thriving in the Premiership and the other has done very well at Plymouth on loan this season:glare:

Well said Butters.

Some of these people just complain without a justified reason. And for those so called 'Magoo' haters, who else could possibly replace him??

Still not really hurting him with words though as it would be the paving stones causing the damage!

Just out of interest how are things at the training ground? All I hear is that McGhee has been practicing the hammer throw on the youth teamers!
