That does put a different perspective on things.

It feels to me like a pathetic move by the club to throw a kid under the bus following an abysmal team performance where he barely played.

It is undeniably a fact that it has come from someone unofficially.

Naylor should be close to all of the chat around the club, and has chosen to disclose this.

Which would be fine if you used them effectively. But Gruda was so bad he had to come off and we bafflingly replaced him with Rutter who was always going to try and occupy the same places as Pedro. We filled the centre of the pitch, which Everton wanted to fill anyway. We played Veltman at left centre back in a three out of possession. Then replaced him with Baleba. Then moved Pedro there and stuck Webster up front. That wasn’t impact substitutes. It was a four year old with his first FM save.

Literally the worst tactical coaching performance I’ve seen since Sami.

It was a bit shambolic. This has happened quite a few times with FH - especially earlier on In the season with lots of shuffling and reshuffling and trying to get messages on and people looking baffled.

Gruda seems to be turning into our Grealish, someone who likes to flit inside and recycle possession in a fairly unthreatening way. Minteh Mitoma and even the returning March look way more braver and effective even tho everyone was a bit below par today

Agree with most of this, and Gruda needed the ball quickly and earlier, however when he did receive it with space, he did little with it and went backwards.

Right decision to withdraw him at h/t.

I agree with the decision to drop him in this case. No excuses for late arrival when everyone else manages to make it. It’s best for a new manager like FH to lay down a marker.
