Why does everyone HATE Dennis Wise?

He's a snivelling, little thug and a wanker.

So the fact that he is "not very nice" means we shouldn't have him as manager?

I'm not suggesting for a second we should get rid of Slade but he would be a great choice IMO. He's proven at this level and is a born winner. Knight has gone now so hopefully the time of employing the nice guy has gone too.

This rumour has produced some of the highest levels of binfestery that I have ever seen on this board (and given the competition, that is really saying something else). Some people have actually put down, in writing, such shite as:

"I will never support this club as long as Wise is in charge!"

"Even if we were top of the league I would still not support this club with Wise at the helm."

Someone even suggested shoving their season ticket up Tony Bloom's arse if Wise was our manager.

Now I haven't seen an Albion game in over 2 and a half years but I know this board well enough to be absolutely sure that if Wise did become our manager and got us ANYWHERE NEAR the top 2 you would ALL be queuing up to lick his tiny little balls.

I don't doubt that Wise & Poyet could do a good job for us...but would struggle to bring myself to cheer Wise.

He's ex-Chelsea which is bad enough but he was also a whinging whining little maggot of a man....vicious and dirty and certainly not a person I would want involved with our great club.

His track record may be good but how long has he hung around in any of the roles he has had?...I would expect him to do a runner at the first sign of a struggle or as soon as a better offer comes along.

We need a manager who will unite the fans and the club rather than divide them which it is clear Wise's appointment would do (divide that is).

Ex-RUDDY-actly.

Anyone saying they would not support the club if Wise was manager needs to get a life.

Incidentally, some are the very same people who before have spouted off about not criticising managers or players even if you don't like them...

In the world of money-making that these people move in, the fortunes of Brighton & Hove Albion are small considerations. Money may be a consideration in the short-term, but when a better option comes along, they move on without a second thought.

You mean like Micky Adams, Peter Taylor and Steve Coppell?

I know, lets just get a shit manager who nobody else will ever try and steal from us.

And while we are at, fill the team with loyal players like Mayo and Hart who nobody ever tries to buy...

Possibly Ed which gives me another opportunity of raising the utter lunacy of sacking Mark McGhee 3 years ago and the absolute binfestery we have had since when the club , team have gone backwards and the 4 managers who have had a stab have all failed to get close to what McGhee would have acheived in this division especially in view of the recent money and budget thrown at it.

McGhee showed totally loyalty to us and was committed utterly to taking us to Falmer and beyond. These Men of Honour and Integrity are very rare in football especially coupled with ability. Mark had both and the fact he again stayed at Motherwell after the death of their captain when he had a decent chance of being Scotland manager any othet time shows what a great Man he was/is. Oh and Aberdeen won 3-0 yesterday which shoves it down th throats of the people who laughed at their European exit.

I said as much in another thread, it's all bull shit all the talk of protests if Wise comes in :wankers: They'll all come crawling back when we're winning and sitting pretty at the top of the league and once we're playing Champagne football in the new stadium they'll all conveniently forget their "dirty protests" and threats of sticking season tickets up Blooms arse !

Agreed.

... just like they did at Newcastle.

Adams and Taylor and Coppell and McGhee all made their mark because they actually concentrated on their jobs of managing the Albion.

All the evidence is that Wise is a dilettante dabbler and not much more.

We need a manager who will unite the fans and the club rather than divide them which it is clear Wise's appointment would do (divide that is).

The fans have been split since before mcghee was fired. The lack of financial support he received led to some fans turning on him, and some sticking by him. That's when the split started.

The closest the fans ave been to united since then was the end of last season when we won 5 out of six.

It isn't the manager that unites us, it's the success.

Or perhaps I'm wrong, perhaps it isn't that success unites us, it just shuts up the detractors. We don't win they have something to complain about, we win they bide their time and without any moaners it seems as if the fans are united.

Perhaps we were always split, and McGhee getting us promoted kept the detractors silent for a while, but when we went down they came out of the woodwork, when we didn't start with a 100% record more negative nellies came out.

I do find it ironic all the people up in arms about Slade's vunerable position after only 5 games into a new season were probably the same ones who put so much pressure on McGhee and helped get him the sack that season after 7games with 3 wins 1 draw and 3 defeats.

With respect Lord B if we had half the support and passion of Newcastle we wouldn't be at the arse end of league 1
And I believe the protesting was more because of Ashley than Wise
They are a package ... and they are BOTH friends of Tony Bloom.

That's what worries me. Bloom might be importing the Ashley style of club ownership.

I guess we haven't got much choice. But I will still worry.
