I find that mine go at the knees after around 5 years or so - so 60 years is pretty good going!!Is the right answer. Denim was used for making work clothes because cotton breathes, and in denim, lasts a long time. I’ve worn jeans for 60 years now, and not going to apologise to anyone for that.

Never worn jeans

This 100%.Good ones are comfortable. Finding what fits is easier said than done!
personally, I wouldn't be seen dead in my own house, let alone public, wearing anything resembling a tracksuit, or joggers, or whatever slack arsed lazy fatso thread 'name's' have been invented since people started looking for an excuse to not wear proper clothes.
This may not be the case. There was a brilliant documentary on PBS called Riveted: The History of Jeans

It all started in Buttenheim, Bavaria. Of course it was all about "the Butt."
Us German Americans are the true entrepreneurs (a French word) of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Same here for many reasons, mainly that I cycle everywhere, also your legs aren’t body parts that get particularly cold, good for winter vitamin D on your skin, good in all weathers, especially Craghoppers SolaDry that dry rapidly after getting wet...and most importantly you don’t end up with pasty, hairless pensioner ‘chicken legs’ where the constant denim friction burns off the hairs on your calves.Nope. Shorts all year round. Feels like my legs are being suffocated in anything else.
Yes. I know.
