1997 with the old manx seagull NSC,those were the days with no log ons.no moderators and no one banned.no stupid smileys or signatures.
stripped down to the bare minimum like a 70's skinhead with real passion and proper posts(oh and no one complaining about swearing because EVERYONE knew that NSC was unsuitable for kids) and enough venom to scare off the sort of twat who would take his ball back because the big boys are being horrible to him-they all went to SSC(it was very much like it is on here)
i fondly remember the day looney was crying at his keyboard because of his frustration at being exposed for the mummy's boy that he is,he promised he was off to SSC never to return.he always was a f***ing liar.

bozza is doing a great job giving us this forum but given the choice between this sterile forum or the real NSC.......well....neutering is only fit for pets and palarse fans

A newbie at 2004. It's your post per day count thats important, anyone posting an average of 20+ a day needs to get a life.

as a new member of this forum commander you will have no idea how anarchic NSC used to be,you are probably to young to remember the fanzine culture that inspired manx to create the origional format.
the difference between the two styles might be compared to catherine tate V my family(trying to come up with a contemporary example)

I first came across the Seagull Server in August 1996 (sorry, but I'm quite anal about these things and know this was a couple of days after we won the first game of that season against Chester and it looked like we might actually do well in Division 3 - what fools we were...)

Though not a real regular myself at first I'm quite sure the message board was around then, despite what it says about "1997" under Manx Seagull's name... After all, it was one of the prime ways in which Fans United (Feb 1997) was spawned and organised wasn't it?

Tubthumper and Juan Albion were already around then, as were quite a few who are still about but who've changed usernames since...

1999 - but NSC was crap in those days. I lurked off and on but didn't start posting regularly (as old fat and bald) until 2000.
