1998 for me, under various monickers depending on what i was replying to.

Each message had to be opened seperately (though i think you could get round this but i wasnt savvy then).
The first flounce i can remember was by Sompting Seagull, maybe he changerd his name to Dessert Orchid or something...

I started posting around the time Fans United, I think. My g/f at the time, with whom I worked, had internet access before me and used to keep me up to date with developments at the "Soldstone" etc etc.
I used to like the bullshit anonymous tip-offs from away fans before a game - "do not come to Cardiff! We will KILL you and feed you to our sheep!", that sort of thing. Someone once tried to convince the NSC public that Millwall fans had brought a VAT of hot oil with them to Withdean and were dipping Brighton fans in it.

I was unemployed and couldn't find any confidence to flaunt my supposed skills in a working environment or interviewer's trousers. So, i pottered online for a while in the gloom of a room i thought was cheaper unlit, looking at things i ought, but never would, apply for. In that time, i signed on Northstandchat, and thought i should say something and leave. Pull the chair back, pop my coat and scarf on, and not stay for the possible humiliation of response from what i imagined to be humans. I think someone said in reply to my stupid comment about Dick Knight and his cap and pipe that i should keep up the good work. So, i stayed. Then i died. Then i came back. Still mostly unseen though, as my words are prettier than my skin will ever be.
