Serbia will be a very dangerous team to play, tremendous value at around 50/1.

I was in Tampa a couple of months ago and the guy in charge at National where I hired my car was a Serbian who was really hoping that they'd end up playing England. He reckoned they had as good a side as they'd had for a while and would do OK. Anyway I think he was so chuffed to be able to talk football that after we'd completed the paperwork he gave me the choice of any car in the pound, even though I'd only paid for a small one. I drove away in a Sebring convertible :smokin:

I now have a soft spot for Serbia

England will win it, because they have the best team. Wayne Rooney said this himself.

What a team

Oh yeh - that was the game we won 3 - 1? Sorry but after your Elphick comments your opinion matters little to me :dunce:

PS - Spain to win in my head - Engerland just my heart - but we've got every chance.

The scoreline against a fairly poor Mexico side, barely a reasonable team at the best of times, means little. If they had a little more quality they would have spanked England - and most teams have more quality than Mexico.

Elphick is your mate? Or didn't you notice Brighton struggling to stay out of the relegation zone for most of last season playing twinkletoes?

England won't make the Semis. We get this optimistic every WC and they always bottle it. I expect the same again, not that i won't be RAGING when it happens.
USA?! Awful team. Would expect them to take third place in our group behind England and Serbia.
Argentina will win this one. Shame really.

I would agree with you if Serbia were in our group. However, it is the considerably weaker Slovenia that are the other european side in Group C. USA will scrape through, then get destroyed in the 2nd round by the winner of Group D, which could be Germany, Ghana, Australia or Serbia. All of the Group D teams are stronger than the US.

Brasil, Spain and I have a feeling Argentina will be a lot better in the finals than in qualification. Brasil or Spain to win, Argentina semis. England will drop out prior to the semis.

And Serbia's Marco Pantelic will make a name for himself. He's a great striker.

Oh, and always right of the dutch and never right off the Germans.

Paraguay will be the suprise team. I expect them to do well and get at least to the QF, if not even the SF.
