I'd like to get shot of Navarro first, then Casper and brez. Painter next, and probably Calderon ( good going forward but lacking defensively) lastly, Barnes and obviously Harley.
Wave goodbye to all these! not good enough if we're looking to progress

buy: mattock, a striker, an attacking centre-mid, and a goalkeeper
Calderon, painter and elphick are not good enough,I see your standards are rather low as you want us to have a team of very average players,Navarro and sparrow plus a fair few more would not make the first 11 in any championship teams.

Time will tell but we need quality not average:)

Lua Lua will go for what may appear decent money but in fact will be dirt cheap & I don't blame him as he has been treated disgracefully. Can't have failed to impress Liverpool T least & those watching TV

El-Abd - class
Hoskins - not good enough
Vincelot - get rid
Agdestein - get rid
Caskey - development squad
WOW. Really?

Is he' Is he really? Bleeds blue and white and would die for the course, the local hero, but I think class is a bit far.
A player who hasn't been fit and hardly played a game
A ulitilty man who apart from a silly five minutes hasn't let us down and as sub can cover half the pitch
A player who when he's played looked very very promising
and a youngster who broke into the first team and scored two in two this year.

Okay. All about opinions I guess.

I love threads like this, where the same people who slag Gus off for his signings think we should dispose of half our squad. Presumably either to continue playing with 14 senior players, or force Gus to spend a large amount of money on 10+ players, enabling said individuals to moan again when every one of them doesn't turn out to be a key player.

Reality check: of the first team, perhaps four or five will go. Approximately the same number back in. Likely to be a new keeper, a striker, a full-back and a couple of centre mids. It's impossible to say with the development squad because we've seen very little of them, by the very definition of the squad they're in, they're being developed ready for first team action. My suspicion is most will get another year as their results seem to have gone pretty well this season.

Brezovan - Sell
Ankergren - Release
Mattock - sign
Greer - Keep
El-Abd - Keep
Dunk - Sell ifan offer comes in of over £750k
Calderon - keep
Reyes - Send back
Bridcutt - Keep
Elphick - signed 1 yr contract
Hoskins - Keep/sell after watching him pre-season so make decision mid August.
Navarro -I would release but think Gus will keep him as back up squad player
Barnes - keep as squad player.
Sparrow - Release or sell depending if he is still under contract.
Noone - I would sell but hasnt he extended his contract.
CMS - Keep definitelt he will be better next season if we do as was said build the attack around him.
Vicente - keep if we get the chance
Harley - Sell
Dicker - sell
Poke - Sell
Vincelot -Keep as Squad player
Painter - Keep as Squad player
Agdestein - Signed new cintract so keep and send out on 3month loan.
Vokes - send back no improvement on what we have.
Kazenga - keep
Bergkamp - Season loan decide from there
Buckley - keep
Caskey - keep and possibly send out on loan
Hall - Spurs rumoured to be interested so if price is right sell.

So that means we need to sign at least a No 1 keeper and possible back up.
Re -Sign Andrew Crofts
Sign a Jason Roberts type experienced striker
Sign a full back who can play on left or right

There's no place for posts containing this much sense on this forum, thank you very much

Nobody has mentioned the obvious departure, POYET,he is now a name and realises that we do not have the finances to build a decent Premiership side,if Harry gets the England job then Gus will be favourite to succed him.

Do you ever post anything positive? Is there anything at all you actually like about Brighton & Hove Albion?

We don't have the finances - says who ? What we do have is an extremely astute chairman who I am sure has plans for all possibilities. TB is hardly going to fund new stadium and new training facilities and then not make funds available for appropriate players is he. What he won't do is pay silly money or line the pockets of agents.

Poyet has always "been a name"
Whether he is a name that a big club would want to look at will depend on his performance in the next 5 or 7/8 games (if we make the play-offs).
My view is that he hasn't done anywhere near enough to make a big jump so he would have to accept going back to being a number 2 somewhere like Spurs or Villa or look for a lower Premier League or Championship "big bollocks" club as a stepping stone. Odds against the first and would he go to Wolves (for example)? Who knows?

I would be worried if a team like Villa came in for him as I believe that they represent the type of team with potential that he could be enticed to and also they would be the type of team to go after him as opposed to a team like Chelsea or Spurs who would want somebody with more experience. I dont think Wolves come into the same category as Villa.

A similar concern would be if Arry goes to England and David Moyes went to Spurs Everton would be another good choice for Gus.

Bloom will IMO keep a tight reign on the playing budget and rightly so. It will be the main reason i think for Poyet to leave for a less glamorous prem club if the chance comes his way.Dunk or Noone, maybe both will be sold, although i would be sad to see Hoskins leave, but i reckon he will also leave. 2 or 3 of the squad may also depart . 4 players are needed, goalkeeper, right fullback ,midfielder and striker, none of the right type are at the club at the moment.
