I know it's not everybody's game but I've got to congratulate little bulldog and all the lads from steyning u16 squad who have just completed the league and cup double as well as remaing unbeaten all season. Well done boys your teamwork and togetherness is something to be admired.

Wrong names on the cup though

:dunce:

Next time eh! There was a lot of credit paid to your team from our players though and little bulldog still has'nt stopped having the piss taken out of him by me for being clean bowled by a girl.

You lads ( and girl )were an absolute credit to the game and gave steyning one hell of a task to achieve, I genuinly hope you all go on to achieve things next season because you deserve it.

Shame that was the last ever game I will play in that team, we don't have enough players to enter the festival.

I'm joining up with the U15 team who play in the U16 festival and that will be my last games at St Matthias, although if I'm playing we do have Steyning in our group so ...

Roll on next year and adult cricket with St Peters 2s.

Also I'd like to add, I wasn't out, the ball was going down legside.

Was not impressed with that decision especially after surviving the first 5 overs of pace which included me getting hit on the chest by that bowler who kept dropping it short. Still hurts now :(

Look on the bright side it wont hurt when the pains gone. Must admit there was a few vicious balls flying in there at the start, I got the impression even our own fielders were trying to duck out of the way of them.

Did you see one of our 14 year olds try to duck under a leg side bouncer and get hit on the helmet, that could have been nasty.

Apparentely that bowler went up to that kid and called him a "f***ing disgrace" which was not on. I thought he batted extremely well after the hit and went on to top score for us.

Saw the incident and was worried the kid had been hurt, If thats what our bowler said afterwards then he deserves a right bollocking and he'll get no support from me, But to be honest I'd rather remember it for a very good game of cricket in which I dont really think either team deserved to lose, The fella who gave the speach after the game had a very hard task in picking a man of the match because there's no way I could've picked one.

For anybody who did'nt see the incident this is the sort of statement that could be left open to piss taking and abuse! :lolol:
