Air horns are banned.

It's not an airhorn, but it makes almost as much noise, lung powered, this sort of thing

By banning them it makes an issue of it.

I'm sure there would have been a few to start with but it would have been a passing fad (not to be confused with a passing fag!)

What a load of shit, I went to South Africa for the world cup, and went to non-england games (brazil vs chile) and you could barely hear them in the ground, the reason they are so loud is because TV channels can't mix the sound properly

The broadcasters used software filters to reduce the sound of the vuvuzelas.

I don't think hey did, even after many requests to th TV stations they had to concede that they couldn't do it.

From watching a fair bit of the world cup admittedly on tv, my view is that the vuvus actually killed the atmosphere at the matches; they certainly didn't add to it.

So good call on the part of the club.

If anyone feels as strong urge to blow a vuvu on matchday, I don't think there is any ban on doing so outside John Catts house from say a couple of hours before kick off. He might even enjoy it........

Excellent news. This is england not SA and my rights to openly moan would have been infringed had the club allowed those blasted things in. more songs and chants yes. But some under 10 continually blowing on a made in china piece of plastic......ABSOLUTELY NO!

Some of you lot really make me laugh. Ooh they didn't ask me so therefore they didn't ask anyone. They're just big fat liars.

f*** off. What makes any of you so special that they should seek your opinion before making a pretty basic obvious decision?

There has even been one person, who could be on the wind up, say that he WAS asked. But that has been ignored as it goes against the whining.

The club didn't need to consult fans. You only had to read the moaning on here about the noise during the world cup to know which way any consultation would go.

Some of you need to get over yourselves.

Do you reckon the club could be persuaded to ban the goons in H block while they are at it?

Even an NSC poll produced a 75% response IN FAVOUR of the ban, which would seem to show that a wider spectrum of fans than just the supposed "inner circle" seem to think that the club have got this one absolutely spot on.
