In regards to potter what is it you actually don’t like at this stage out of interest? If you had a realistic choice who do you think would be a better alternative at this time?
I quite like his ideas and how so far it’s related to football being played on the pitch. We didn’t get some results I think we should earlier in the season especially. At times maybe we have been tactically naive mind especially against the better sides mainly because they have better players and press us as a unit a lot higher. I expect Liverpool to do it better than any next week but overall at this time I thought he’s doing a fairly reasonable job.
That is mostly just pointless drivel. We have people at the club who can find the right manager. It's not my job to do it for them. They got it wrong here end of

Lol, you are trying to reason with Spence? All you’ll get are insults.

Not really an answer the people at the club want potter and they clearly see potter as the right man or he wouldn’t be here. Clearly it’s not your job or you would have been involved in the process of finding the “right” man for the job. I was asking you what makes you think it’s time to pull the plug on him as a manager after 6 months? You come across like potter has done something to you in a past life all bitter and twisted but with no real explanation why.

You'd think after 2 years of slagging off Hughton and 6 months of doing the same to Potter Spence would actually have an answer to the question 'who then?'

The fact that he hasn't tells you all you need to know.

I think we still need a Murray replacement, but with Leganés bottom of La Liga I’d be tempted to wait until the summer and go for En-Nesyri again if they go down.

Another wide forward would be good and give us more flexibility. Bowen at Hull would be ideal.

A RB to challenge; if not replace, Montoya

Montoya gets undeserved flak imo. In the first half yesterday, whilst we were on the back foot, he was possibly our best player imo

He did settle into the game but that first 17 mins he was man marking Vardy for set pieces and one moment he had hold of Vardy the next he was gone leaving Montoya arms out around an imaginary person, not blaming Montoya as I don't think we have a player who could keep up with Vardys movement and pace.

New manager. I'm the first person to see through Potters problems. The rest are playing catch up

First?
Don’t think so.
Most vocal?
Yes.

A number of NSC-ers highlighted the problems with a more expansive approach the moment Potter arrived. Particularly as we are a bottom third team.

Three at the back is too easy for good teams to play against, and this needs a rethink. It is noticeable that when we switch to a four, we do look a better team IMO.

However, Potter has done fairly well so far, and his ability to switch formations as above is a real positive. Like Hughton though he is completely hamstrung by a lack of quality in the last third.

Is there anything you have enjoyed this season (not having a go, looking for a positive [emoji2]).

So, as I asked on the match thread Spence, who is the manager you have identified who would get more out of this group of players?

Was it Everton MM had a mare and was subbed off quite early?

If it was that was the first game, this season, I saw the player that had been getting dogs abuse.
He was playing at the standard many on here said he'd been at all season.

I'd hate to think what level that had pushed the scapegoaters too.

Maybe it's because most people expect a top ten international midfielder to be able to score a bloody goal once in a while.

If he scored 6/7 goals a season he wouldn’t be with us now, let alone in the future. I’m not saying I wouldn’t like him to score more goals, but that isn’t the only metric on which to judge a top midfield player.

Don’t mean to be a pedant but he isn’t first choice... often in and out of the side.

However I like Propper.

Well, he seems to have been playing regularly when fit (was pulled out of a recent squad due to injury, not form), and started their last game. He might not start every single game, but neither does Jadon Sancho for England. Anyway, you see the point I was trying to make...

I thought martin tyler's first question was a great chance for spence to engage in discussion and attempt to prove that he is not an opportunistic troll craving attention.

Interesting and very telling that he chose to ignore it.
