Of course his preference trumps money on the table. If he doesn't agree terms with Liverpool, he doesn't go. Obviously, that doesn't mean we have to facilitate a move to Chelsea but we're not bundling him into the back of the van and driving him to Anfield.
Currently he can’t make a preference for Chelsea, unless they match the Liverpool bid.

We can’t force him to go to Liverpool but his choice in the contractual situation he is in has to be Liverpool or stay with us.

Sorry but you're incredibly naive. Paul Barber has one job when he speaks to the media/us - protect the club and have the club's best interests in mind.

Him admitting that Moises is desperate to leave, refusing training and has cleared his locker out makes us look weak and makes our ability to reject offers for Moises a lot weaker. Paul is doing his job well, he hasn't been honest with us
He admitted Sanchez downed tools so why lie about another player? RDZ also said the same so is he a liar too?
Why would Paul protect him?

Yep. He’s backed himself right into a corner. We said he could leave if our valuation was reached - it has been.

Exactly, this is a three-way negotiation. The clubs have to agree a deal, and the player has to agree a deal with the club.

We agreed a deal with Liverpool, Moises apparently turned down their contract offer.
Moises (is ready to) agree a deal with Chelsea, but we haven't agreed a deal with Chelsea yet.

So either Moises changes his mind on Liverpool (and hope Liverpool haven't already moved on), or Chelsea offers a deal the club can accept. Or Moises stays.

The club were clear they wanted this done today so we can move on our targets and this is slowing things up with still no improved bid reported from Chelsea. I can imagine Moises and his camp will be getting an ultimatum from the club shortly if not already.

Ive stuck by Moises through all this but this has become a total farce and it's all on him. We still get paid either way and if he does go to Chelsea then at least weve got 25% more than they want to pay but they have shown what an utter shambles they are.

'The big clubs cannot buy our soul'

WE HAVE to make a huge banner of this and have it in the north stand.

I love RDZ! It's not relevant now but contrast this with Potter or even previous managers.

'Big clubs' we're coming for you.
Don't worry, I've just finished making it. It reads 'Money can't buy everything, our soul is not one of them.' 🤪
