amazing one week of good results and all the MA doubters have gone into hiding, I said last week he is a very good manager this before the last two results and I stand by what I said then, so it's time for some of you to start eating the proverbial humble pie and at last get behind the team and the manager

Thank god he's winning them...us over. It's no surprise though that with attacking midfielders and a quality striker that we look like winning. They KEY for Adams will be whether he can sure the current fixes are not just short term loans, in order to keep up these sort of perormances until May.

apart from thelast two games, we have looked clueless in games...Cheltenham, Scunthorpe, Leeds....et al. However, MA has brought in decent loan signings which hopefully will turn into long term or permanent ( esp Johnson) therefore Yes the last two games we have turne dit around ( but remember we were 2-0 at half time against Leicester and they should have had a cast iron penanlty) so basically praise where due.

In the same way the team do not become world beaters overnight, MA doesnt become the saviour over night also.

But as I say, credit is due

Why it has taken him 14 and a half games to stumble on a decent team selection I don't know, let's hope this continues. It's not like anyone wants us to be shit is it?

Exactly my feelings. Why would I criticise the management when we are beginning to fulfil some of our potential and we are playing the way we should be.

A manager should not be free of praise OR criticism.

If anything this just makes the earlier results all the more frustrating. I know Johnson has made a difference but if we had played even half as well as we have in the last 135 minutes against the likes of Bristol, Orient, Hereford, Walsall, Northampton, Yeovil, even Cheltenham, we'd be comfortably in the top 6.

Spot on. He has got lots of things totally wrong this season - no one can deny that. I still think he made mistakes today - starting upfront with Virgo and Anyinsah was never going to work as Badger rightly pointed out. IMO he would have been better off getting an hour from Murray/Fleetwood and bringing the other on. I would have preferred to see Gargan than another makeshift forward line. The first goal was a result of exactly the kind of strikers positioning that Anyinsah and Virgo have failed to demonstrate.

The lack of a holding midfielder in the current side worries me, it worked today, but it won't work every week. Still, MA got it right today and I think his luck is turning a little. I've never wanted him out, but I have been rather despondant after many team selections, performances and tactics. Hopefully the Mickey we all knew and loved is back.

Freedom of speech and all that what gives certain "fans" the right to be heard and try to shut others up, I go on here every day albeit only recently and all I have read is slagging off the manager and team, some of the negative energy is now being used to good effect, I have supported the Albion for 42 years that gives me the right to have my say, of course that is if you don't mind

Of course you have a right to say what you want

But there are some hard facts that you have to accept:

Micky has and will continue to make tactical mistakes

He clearly has some favouritism to Virgo and Hawkins

I am a Micky fan, and think his tactics and selcection were spot on today, but we shouldn't be ecstatic. We are still in the botoom half, and have failed to beat many of the worse team in the league at home this season.

I agree you saw the massive difference when Murray came on, though to be fair I understand why he did it, just put out the team that played so well against Leicester in the second half. If it was me I'd have been mighty tempted to put at least one of the two strikers in but that decision I could at least understand (plus there is the whole Virgo-Hawkins seemingly undroppable factor to consider).

I think the balance of the midfield was pretty good today. I'm not 100% sure about Thomson but he played ok. Maybe give Livermore a go alongside Johnson at some point.

Totally agree with you, I am not blinded by the MA factor but I do like to see fair play, I know he makes mistakes but I object when people slag someone off for trying to make good what they inherit, but how good it is to listen to constructive comments such as yours, thank you

I am more optimistic now and am very pleased with the loan signings. However Micky did not get it right today, the reason we won was Murray.
If Virgo had stayed up front the whole game then we may not be saying this. In that sense, Virgo's injury was very lucky...

I think that his appointment was brilliant for the club, and I think that he'll get us up next season if not this. However certain decisions of his have made me concerned, playing Virgo right midfield being one of them.

According to this thread, managers are always great, even when they are not....great.
Face it, MA was making unbelievable mistakes about tactics, long high balls were not working but he persisted regardless, players out of position and no chance to get results, throwing points away week in week out, and poor explanations that didn't shoulder the blame.

He can change that, without prejudice, and with a chance to turn his own reviews around - so this thread to gloat about "told you so" stuff is trite, and redundant. and Fact.

I presume they were hiding in the same place at those people who have been remarkably quiet about the quite frankly dismal start to the season.

when Murray and Forster are 100% fit and lets say we still have Fleetwood on loan where is Virgo going to play? If Virgo someone how makes in back into midfield I'm going to cry. Our midfield at the moment is kick ass, I love Thornton and Johnson. I don't mind Virgo as a striker but his best position in centre of defence.

I made critical comments about Adams and questioned his ability and motivation. Based on the evidence of performances at the time, I think they were valid comments from a worried fan. I could not see us getting anything out of the last 2 games and am delighted to have been wrong. If Adams sustains this form and develops the team further I will be even happier.
