where are the MA doubters hiding

I have doubted him, and still do. When the team was announced, and I heard that Virgo was upfront ahead of Fleetwood, I had thought, what is the point, especially in the pissing down rain.

LUCKILY Virgo got injured, and when Murray came on, I think we had 4 defenders in defence, 4 midfielders in midfield and 1 striker up front. It was only Ayinsah that was out of position (playing upfront instead of the wing)

It just shoes, that if you dont shoehorn players in for the sake of it, we are a great team, that wins AND entertains.

I will praise him for yesterday, but he got lucky that Virgo got injured. It still doesnt distract from the clueless rubbish earlier on in the season, but hopefully he will realise and we can move on from here and make up more of that 7 point gap from the play off spots

Freedom of speech and all that what gives certain "fans" the right to be heard and try to shut others up, I go on here every day albeit only recently and all I have read is slagging off the manager and team, some of the negative energy is now being used to good effect, I have supported the Albion for 42 years that gives me the right to have my say, of course that is if you don't mind

Whats crap about this thread is the attempt to paint anyone who has complained about Adams as being unreasonable.
Adams deserved criticism for his poor team selections, his inability to change things during games and the apparent poor moral of the team.
He now deserves praise for 2 good results.

No humble pie from me.

Micky has shown a total lack of tactical ability since his return.
He has made some great signings (as he always does) but his decision to go out and grab an emergency loan striker, then bench him whilst playing a defender up front is bordering on the insane.

Fortunately, Virgo came off and we won well - thanks to Murray - not Mickey's talent.

We are playing negative, unskilled football, with what is one of (if not THE) best squad in the division.

He hasn't built on Wikins' great platform in terms of the football we are playing, and he doesn't seem to learn from his mistake of playing Virgo in any and every position possible.

We have a massive potential with the current players, but Adams needs to start trusting the lads he has, to do the job they are payed to do.

I was going to post something similair, how long would Glenn have been on the bench if Virgo hadn't got injured?
Also we got a very soft penalty (which im looking forward to seeing on the championship in a minute) when Millwall were on top at the start of the second half.

Both games have had turning points where we have got lucky as Leicester should have had a penalty just before we pulled one back on tuesday.

But hey aslong as we keep winning then im happy, these cup games coming up should be intresting tho...

What a load of rubbish this thread is with citisicm of MA.

Consider the facts;

1.Millwall nearly top, us in 18th there is a reason for that they have been playing better than us.
2. It was pouring with rain which brings everybody down to the same level.
3. Fleetwood is 5ft 8in tall and wouldnt have won a ball up front on his own.
4. Virgo won virtually every ball that he went for when he was on the field.
5. With the best will in the world nobody knew how Murray would perform as he had only trained for 1 hour on Friday afternoon and then convinced MA he was ok to go on the bench in case we needed a goal.

Full praise to MA yesterday he got it spot on with every decison. When Forster is also fit hopefully we will have him and Murray up front with Fleetwood or similar on the bench and Virgo at right back although Whing didnt do anything wrong yesterday.

1. Where on earth do you get the idea that we have the best squad in the division from? Leeds, Leicester, Posh, MK Dongs, Scunny all have fairly useful squads to put in mildly.

2.We were not playing great football under Wilkins, it was at times a wee bit better than we have played this season, and at times it wasn't. We did have some good loan signings last year in the shape of Westlake and Racon, and haven't plugged those gaps, although IMO Thornton could be the answer to one of them.

Yesterday was fantastic and we played brilliantly, but until MA can get over his obsession with Hawkins and Virgo, I am still worried about this season. It still leaves me with concerns because no matter what physical state or form these guys are in they ALWAYS have to start every match (and one of them ALWAYS out of position).

Yesterday was a prime example (who honestly believes that Virgo is a better striker than Fleetwood?!?!?) and it was after Virgo came off that we got all our goals.

Don't get me wrong, I am more optimistic about the season after yesterday, but unless MA proves he is prepared to drop Hawk or Virgo if necessary then we WON'T make the play-offs. Look how much damage his arselicking of these two has caused already - a patently unfit Hawkins rushed back from a hernia and we get destroyed by Scunny, Virgo played outragoeusly out of position every SODDING week. If MA continues doing this we won't make the play offs, fact.

I enjoyed yesterdays game much more than anything Wilkins came up with last season (and that was sitting in the p*ssing rain). I thought we were superb yesterday. Why can't people just give the team and Adams some credit, where it is due. Murray has been out injured, else he would have started up front. As for Fleetwood not starting, well, I think he was showing loyality to the players that won 3-2 on Tuesday's 2nd half display.

I dont see how Fleetwood and Anyinsah would have worked.

So you honestly believe that if everyone was available (including Murray and Forster) he would start with either Virgo or Hawkins on the BENCH? Laughable. Do me a favour.

I am more optimistic now and am very pleased with the loan signings. However Micky did not get it right today, the reason we won was Murray.
If Virgo had stayed up front the whole game then we may not be saying this. In that sense, Virgo's injury was very lucky...

Micky didn't get it right? What exactly did he not get right then? Having Murray on the bench having just recoverd from an injury, back a lot earlier than expected and was not really due to come on, but if needed would come on for the last 20/25 minutes? What other choice did he have?

Spot on. Plus the fact that we're still only FOURTEENTH for fucks sake and it took him til nearly November to win a home game. Whoopty doo.

Two great results plus the point at Peterborough though - lets hope he's turned the corner.

Glad the team one yesterday - my concern is the fact that we have so many loan players and that we are playing people out of postition - we were playing virgo and anyinsha up font when we had two strikers on the bench - that is what i find bizarre - we have had weeks of listening to we are short of players in certain positions and then we have two strikers left on the bench - it does make me wonder if there is something in Virgo and Hawkins contracts that if they are for they MUST play?

I doubting him and I'm still here, and I'm still doubting him.

As others have said, the results of the past two games, whilst brilliant (WE WON!) have come from forced changes, and basically he's got lucky.

He didn't do himself any favours in my eyes, when he said he was saving Murray for the cup match. Bollocks to the cup, I'd rather go up thanks. He's said he didn't except Murray to play a part, so basically he's admitting he got lucky!!

As much as Micky was a god first time round, in my eyes anything short of promotion, or at least a play off is a failure. Dean Wilkins got us heading in the right direction, and finnish one place of the play offs. Any manager coming in after his sacking as got to finnish in the play offs, or what was the point of changing manager? (P.S. I dont give a f*** if the player didn't like Wilkins (which aint true anyway) he had us one place of the play offs!)

How many times?? Murray was recovering from an injury, was back a lot earlier than expected. If you listened to Adams on the phone in, Murray said if you need me to I'll sit on the bench and if needed I will come on for 20/25 minutes towards the end. Fleetwood also had a shoulder injury, and Adams may not have seen fit for him to start. People need to remember they actually do not know what goes on behind the scenes, perhaps Fleetwood didn't feel right to start.

Think of this logically. Would Adams not want his best striker and another recognised striker up front to start, yes of course he would. But because of the circumstances that was not possible, so obviously he had no choice but to start with Virgo and Anyinsah up front.
