1) What they actually got chucked out for was STANDING - the away fans are always allowed to stand and yet our own supporters get chucked out.
2) Now i saw one of the stewards bending that blokes arm and it was bang out of order the way he was being treated.

I wasn't at the game but want to add a couple of my own comments.

1) The club will say under regulations all fans should be seated, however this should mean ALL fans. Does anyone know if this has been raised to Insider?
2) I am sure the club would take a dim view of this Stewards behaviour. If you can give the club any details (incl. appearance, time etc), I would expect the club to take further action.

Same steward who was involved in the arm bending incident last season that generated a certain amount of controversy on here, so I wouldn't expect the club to take any more action than they did last time. Appears to be a legitimate restraint hold, tho a tad odd that there only appears to be one steward trained up in its use - or maybe only one who feels the need to use it ???

there was a funny atmosphere last night. the young kid with the hat got a bit of piss taking from where i was in a block , all good natured really but his fat mate with a white coat and hat took it on himself to give us some stares so we gave them back then he started on us . so we gave him the who ate all the pies etc , they were then looking for us at half time , about 15 of them. young stupid hoolie wannabees who have watched too much green street if you ask me. funny though , never been started on by another albion fan before . maybe it sums up the mood at the moment. personally i think theyre just tw*ts to be fair. however to be fair to the kid with the hat i was in h block in the first half and it did look like he was just singledout for standing but i may have missed something.

Not Brighton fans, just there so they can whip out the new Stone Island jacket and play the big man. I imagine if there was trouble they wouldn't be too involved.

When they passed us, the whole affair was being video'd by the police.

Yep we have to ensure EVERYONE, behind the goal all 2,350 odd (if full) STAND at Falmer, every week, without question as they do at Leeds, West Ham, Liverpool etc we have to educated the fuckers that we ARE going to stand or they will have a silent ground, they cannot chuck everyone out.
I remember at Southampton a few years back they let the home fans stand and made us sit down and we did! JUST SAY NO!

Alternatively, you could become educated enough to read the conditions of sale of the ticket - one of those conditions is that you SIT and watch.

Amazing to see the comments on here - complaining that stewards aren't allowed to bend arms behind the back but then suggesting breaking the all seater rules is OK. So stewards apparently breaking the rules is bad but supporters breaking the rules is good ??? AMAZING !!!

i would have thought with you being on the "scene" you may wanna give it to opposing fans instead of your own

Catch up sparky! It's the double standards that exist which is what upsets people.

Besides, the so called law says many things. And many are equally ignored day to day, often for good reason, and nothing bad ever happens - which is testimony to the ridiculous nature basically. Why can't that be the case here. We're selective in our administration of it anyway.

why did u have to give it your own fans in the first place? it dont seem to me that nobody gets behind the team down that end of the pitch all you do is moan.

well thats the point isnt it, nobody gave your mate shit at all. just a few people round us having a laugh at the hat. as for moaning down that end , i was in j block first half and swapped ends to be near the goal we were attacking. i saw your mate get kicked out and thought it was out of order as all i saw him do was stand up.

next thing we know youre staring up at us , i turned to my mate and said whats up with him, we had no idea what your problem was. , so id imagine whatever you were told was wrong . next thing you start, what should we do say sorry? dont think so, youre gonna get it back a bit arent you

did you ever go to The Goldstone or have you only started going to the match since around the mid 90's? This is football not a Gilbert and Sullivan production. If you (or anyone else for that matter) wants to SIT and watch, fine, sit in a seated area (or at least an area where people like to remain seated) but don't question the education of those who want to stand with their friends or want to make a noise and get involved in creating a little bit of atmosphere at the match.
