WHAT THE F**K IS GOING ON - Mr McGhee, are you still on our side???

I remember that classic line in the dark dark goldstone days.

I'll be brave and say this before we stuff the Saints, but has McGhee lost the plot??

You've got a weaked side down to the bare bones, so what do you do..... drop your experienced keeper and give someone who you stated last week you've no confidence in, his debut!!

Leave Leo Knight out of the side although?? I'm not Leos biggest fan, but please, it surely must be all hands on deck today.

He's taken a weak team and made it weaker.

I've only just come over to the 'needs a change of manager' side, but on todays evidence, I think we need a change. Is he seeing how far he can push Dick Knight??

Just what is he doing.

Now you watch us go and hammer the saints!!!!

It's certainly a 'brave' selection, as it would be awful to hear words to the effect of him getting the line-up wrong again in the post-match.

BUT, at this club we CANNOT afford to keep going out and buying players. We need to unearth players, bring them on, bring them through the ranks etc.

Lynch, hey, he could be the left back we've needed all season, lets see what he's got. Mayo used to playt in midfield when he first came into the side, and as someone said in another thread, a defensive midfielder alongside Chippy does make some sense.

Gatting and Elphick have been doing great, so let's have a look at them as well. We've unearthed Virgo, and Harding recently and now they have gone, so we need to find the new ones out of the youth side.

My concern is just how many gambles we appear to have made in the one side.

It's a good game to gamble on though: McGhee had to make changes anyway so why not make some radical ones?

Radical is putting out a team to get a result, using younger players, but having the ability to put on some slightly more experienced players to defend/attack as required. Not putting out a keeper you have slagged in public and ignoring a striker. MM does NOT stand for Man Management!

This is like putting your granny out and calling it tactical experimentation.

It's not the youngsters being involved that's the problem. It was almost certain that one of them would be starting whether it was at full back or in the middle. It's no FDM or Leon that's startling.

I've all for being the youngesters in, but surely if we are that down to the bare bones, you don't drop your top scorer, and give a shakey (his own words) keeper his debut.

With Flo in goal what message does that send out to the squad.

"If you aren't playing, throw a wobbly, refuse to go sub, storm of out of the ground and go home. Then in week or so's time, I'll hand you your debut??"

I used to be on McGhee's side, but he's lost the plot.

Forget about the sack, he should resign if this goes wrong today.

Are you suggesting Leon is staying then?

I don't like Leo, I think he's a cocky little c*** with nothing to back it up. But when your without 10 first team players, why drop two more??
Either you saying, I've been wrong all year in playing them, or I've haven't got any more ideas. Either way, time to go.......

Totally agree, we need to bring players through the ranks, that not the issue, dropping experience, when you've got 10 first teamers out. And we've just scored....yessssssssss

I'd rather keep Leon than MM.

  are you mad or something?

mcghee has done miracles at this club since he joined. OK so we had a few bad results. What did everyone expect? A play off place this year.

Brighton fans are some of the most fickle ever!! when we are playing well everything is rosy. when we struggle, the whole team are shit, the manager hasn't got a clue and he should leave.

WHEN WILL PEOPLE REALISE WE ARE NOT BARCELONA FOR f*** SAKE!!!

Spot on. Some people haven't got a f***ing SCOOBY. Summed up perfectly by that twat 1066 in another thread:

"if we loose, Its really am gonna come to the end for me and Magoo.

If we win,he will be saved, just. But he HAS to be in line for sacking if he keeps changing the f***ing team."

I keep hearing this 'McGhee's done miracles'... what miracles? He's done well granted, but Micky Adams done miracles, Peter Taylor set us up, and McGhee's done well. Certainly aint performed miracles.

Silliest post of the day. By miles.

Good candidate for silliest post of the year ... and it's only 2 Jan.

Still, I bet 1066 will beat that before long.

What, for reacting to a silly post saying should keep Leon above and over McGhee? f*** off.

I am sick to death of theis treachery and disloyalty.

Dick Knight is NOT going to sack McGhee. FACT.
McGhee is NOT going to resign. FACT.
Therefore, by process of elimination, McGhee will be our manager at the end of the season and beyond. DEAL WITH IT.

When McGhee took on this job, he knew he had f*** all resources to work with, yet he took the job in good faith with his eyes wide open. He still has NO resources to work with. Getting Falmer has changed NOTHING. We have lost other good managers as a result of our predicament. But McGhee has hung on and showed loyalty when he could have walked away, especially from the moaning short-termist throw-cash-at-the-problem glory-hunters.

And what does he get for his loyalty? Abuse.

Some people on here should be f***ing ASHAMED of themselves.
