By not playing against us in a while.

Can't remember but they probably had a lot of home series as well?

If we go out there & beat them on their own pitches we will be undisputed No.1, but even the Aussies with McGrath and Warne struggled in the sub-continent.....

Tail wagging a bit too much for my liking. Breaking 200 seemed unlikely at 111/7 but they've managed it thanks to Dhoni

Great knock from Dhoni, but really, that top order promised so much more, and yet they keep failing to deliver.

You'd have taken that at the start of the day, but from 111/8 it's a smidgen disappointing.

Or are we all just becoming greedy now :)

111/7 not 8, as it was the 8th wicket partnership that did the damage.

Overall though, very pleased. The life has hopefully gone out of the pitch a bit by now, with the heavy roller just flattening it a bit further.

Goodbye India - Your No.1 status was never deserved when compared to the Windies of my Youth and then the Ponting/McGrath/Warne Era Convicts, I think this mob of ours look like the Real Deal...

Big day for England today, if the weather stays fair, Kumar might get a bit of swing early doors, but the pitch looks a belter to bat on and England could make 350-400 runs today.

The more the better obviously, but even 300 today would do, a lead of 160 before setting about the Indians.

I'm beginning to understand how the Aussie cricket fans felt when England went down under 4 years ago holding the Ashes and were incredibly gash.

Always nice to beat a previously considered worthy opponent but it wears off when you realise how incredibly shit they are for an entire series.
