I have two ...

1) Shit happens ...get over it.......

2) If you change nothing.....nothing changes

neither particularly useful , I just like saying them....

While perfectly reasonable, both made me think of guidelines for life:

1) Shit happens - make sure you know where the nearest gents are

2) If you change nothing - you're going to smell.

If I'm in work and its all going shitty I try to remember to ask myself:-

"Is any of this going to matter in 40 years time ?".

The answer is usually no, so I try and relax. Doesn't always work but it can add a touch of perspective and reality.

40 days (and often 40 minutes!) is often the case in my experience :lolol:

"Ooo ooo, ooo ooo when the chambers empty she said
Ooo ooo, ooo ooo meet El Presidente"
(Duran Duran)

Also:

“Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.”
