Bristol City - biggest place never to have a top flight club, no?
We've spent most of existence in the bottom two divisions so anybody saying us needs their head examined
Bristol City, like us, have been in the top division.

Huddersfield without a doubt. Our history pales by comparison to many, many clubs.
Spent a lot more time in division 2 than we did.Why are people claiming Bristol city Fc are bigger than the Albion?

I thought the question was aimed at the future prospects of the clubs mentioned
if not,it's a no brainer history doesn't change,we all know what Huddersfield & Preston have done
perhaps we should mention the Wanderers, how many times did they win the FA Cup?
how far back do we want to go?

The only thing in their history which stands out is Bristol City becoming the first English club to suffer three consecutive relegations.
They've only spent 4 season in the top flight. At least when the Albion were in the top flight, they managed to achieve an historic cup final. Bristol achieved their cup final back in 1910ish when the formation of the leagues were different. The Albion's history is clearly better.
I voted Bristol City as I think they are a club definitely going places, it's a much bigger city than Brighton.
City are also rebuilding their stadium .
The OP doesn't mention any history.
I can hardly believe Old Etonians v Royal Engineers has yet to be a Premier League fixture. Other than those two I think I'll follow the crowd and say Huddersfield or Preston as well.
Doesn't the history constitute with a 'big club'?
In that case, how the hell are Mk dons not on that list?
Good point.
Everyone seems to be talking about history with clubs like Huddersfield and Preston, but are these clubs really big today?
MK Dons could end up being a big club if they got in the PL.
What's their ground capacity?
Huddersfield last won the league in the 1920's
I've heard of milking it!
Not easy to reply to.
Preston and Notts County were original League members.
Bristol is the largest city on that list.
Plymouth is the largest city never to be represented in the top flight. (Used to be Hull before that.)
