Blimey. No White?

This thread is hilarious.

The only thing I can conclude is we have a decent squad, lots of options, and hope.

That, or....all our players are shit and the recruitment team and manager, and, let's face it, Brighton and Hove as an actual place, are all shitehouse.

You decide.

Actually, no. I decide. Option 1.

I do know that it ain't working at the moment and if he continues in this vein we will be relegated.

Apologies if I missed it on another thread.....who would you suggest we bring in as a saviour manager?

I like that, for the next game.

I would be keen to see Andone instead of Tross.....

With Lamps in the side, hard to find a place for the missfit Ali J sadly. Sub for South American Steve, perhaps.

Sad you couldn't find a slot for Pew and Pugh though. On the bench again, maybe? ???

My thinking was partly based on the effective side at Fulham second half, players in form and keep the following well away from the starting 11:

Jahanbakhsh, Maupay, Burn and Connolly.

Fair challenge, i did ponder that. I don't rate him in the mid but he’s impressive at the back. I just think we need more experience in the squad so Veltman edged it. But its a squad game, i’ll give him a game later

Nail. Head. :lolol:

I'll pass, on your Ali J decision, but as noted elsewhere, it is a squad game, and so....

I would have Maupay in for Trossard because I think he works harder and is an irritant to defenders . I also think Trossard can't do 90 mins. I do think we have to think about 14 players and tactical substitutions which i don't think Potter has been too smart at. We now Llana might not do 90 mins so could also bring on Trossard for him. We also need 3 players who can change the direction of the game rather than just fit in with plan a.

You're so tediously rational. You must be a newby to NS....

Oh,

Liked Maupay last season. With Connolly, just awful finishing in recent months. Just now, I rather have a creativity everywhere and Welbeck.

Currently;

Sanchez
Lamptey
White
Dunk
Webster
March
Bissouma
Lallana
Trossard
Maupay
Welbeck

To improve on that we need a left back who can play in a back 4, a centre mid to partner Biss (hopefully that's Moder), and we either splash some cash on a winger who can actually cross and therefor give our current strikers more to feed on or spend on a striker who doesnt take 10 chances to score a goal. A lot to ask for I know...

he did miss simple chances in 3 games previous to the SU game.....

I guess we need to understand the root of the problem and whether its fixable..

I think we need to win a game and then reverse engineer things.

Using the 3-0 v Toon as the exemplar, we should play 3-4-3 with

Maty

Webster
Dunk
White

March
Alzate
Biss
Lamptey

Maupay
Connolly
Trossard

Saves me writing this out, though I’d add Mac Allister to the bench. Frankly, that bench should put pay to the idea we have squad depth as well, Veltman and maybe Gross apart, few of those are truly Premier League quality.
