[Albion] What is our best starting eleven?

It’s a good squad. The gaps seem to be:

- a midfielder to play alongside Biss (Moder?)
- left back who can play in a four
- something different up top
- a big keeper with experience

Saves me writing this out, though I’d add Mac Allister to the bench. Frankly, that bench should put pay to the idea we have squad depth as well, Veltman and maybe Gross apart, few of those are truly Premier League quality.

You’re absolutely right, I forgot about him and Molumby

It depends on the opposition.

As for the "tinkering" Potter this is how it looked one month ago (dont have any updated stats, but he was seen as "tinkering" back then as well):

Welcome to modern football, a world where managers pick different teams for different games.

Ignoring Potter's pottering, what actually is our best team given what we have, and assuming everyone is fit? Regardless of current form.

I don't have a clue.

Thread should have been closed right there and then. Those in supposed charge are just randomly throwing players from the squad at the starting lineup now. Beyond pathetic

I agree with you and Seasidesage. I'd have Mac Allister on the bench though (for one of the last three). So the first two attempts were the correct ones.

That's what I'd be tempted to go with. Back 3 doesn't work for anyone, Arsenal have adopted it and they're rubbish because of it. We have the players to play it, but it makes our team lumpy and ineffective. It squeezes Webster in, and that's a £20m defender we need to play to justify the fee. But he's not currently in our strongest team.

Welbeck I think is strongest playing from the left, especially if there's a naturally attacking player down that side. March needs some serious defensive training (and be told not to barge into anyone) to get up to scratch as a left back but he deserves to keep his place. I'm disappointed Bernardo has been discarded.

Trossard isn't a number 9, he should be allowed to play wide and with Lamptey bombing on he'd have ample support on that side.
