It's a hobby of mine. I've panned for Gold in Scotland, England, Wales and France.

I've been doing it for a number of years now.

I have gold from about 8 or 9 rivers in England (Devon) and there are many more in that area that have small deposits of gold in them.

I've not been out for a while (life and work gets in the way) but our summer holiday this year happens to be taking us to a part of France that has gold, so I'll hopefully come back with a few grammes of the stuff!

I was a social friend of Bernie Cooper RIP who wrote I think a couple of episodes of the show amongst other stuff. Lovely guy, came from Shoreham ex RAF. We sunk a few in The Land of Smiles.
