what's that one about "Your father was a baboons rump and your mother spent most of her life up against walls with sailors?"
"I'm not telling you"
My own subject would probably be the Beatles and swathes of random trivia.

And I'm also an amateur astronomer, but very much lapsed. But I do still have a nice telescope.
Actually - I might be one of the few on here that has experience of making homemade wine....
Scary, could almost be my twin Currently have telescope gathering dust in the shed (I'm more into theoretical astrophysics) and 3 gallons of elderflower wine currently fermenting away in the kitchen.
Nice. I've been banned from making any wine this year as we're having a re-jig of our kitchen / dining room and I don't need demijohns laying about
2 years ago I made a lovely elderberry, and a delightful rose from a second fermenation on the fruit pulp.
How to earn, and then donate a small fortune to 2 ex wives
I've only been doing it for three or four years, so still at the stage of more misses than hits. I have had to scale back production as we were running out of storage space - all the blackberry/elderberry aging in the cupboard under the stairs means I have to be more focused this year, though my bramble at the end of the garden has gone beserk, so looks like a bumper crop ahead...
One of the favourite wines I make in our house is dandelion - very nice crisp white.
Folly wine is also a really nice white (I have a couple of vines in the garden).
I've got some Sangiovese and Vernaccia vines, from which I make a bit.
Do you get good wine from the Sangiovese? Red grapes need a lot of sunlight to ripen well enough to make wine in the UK.
Yep, I do - they're not in the UK

Further confirmation you're NSC's Renaissance Man
I'll challenge you on that one SB!
Come now, Jem, is there such a thing as too much here? If we all club together, we could persuade Gentle Despite to make a half-time pitch appearance maybe, or get Claire to write an angsty column in the programme?
