SPOONS SPOONS SPOONS SPOONS BLOOMING SPOONS! YOU ARE OBSESSED SIR

What have I got to let go the fact somebody told me there was going to be a SPOONS in Burgess Hill.
Shame all the decent pubs are being demolished and the town centre is just becoming pub-crawl central.
I had my last drink as a single man in the since-demolished Royal George but to be honest it was almost as grotty as the burnt-down Junction and even worse than the now expired King's Head.
We did not need to know your brother-in-law has a Smalldick
I wouldnt know about that but I do know he is a fisherman in LITTLE(small) HAMPTON (dick)
The chap obviously had heard something but got his facts wrong, which is not surprising, At least they may not be refused by people with a vested interest as sadly happened in Haywards Heath.
Spoons are the McDonalds of boozers.

What happen to the Junction? I assume from this thread it burnt down.
Was it so bad it had to be demolished?
You may have got that one wrong I heard that it going in further down the road in Church Walk so it will give Jacobs Post a run for its money. They pulled out of the priory as they did not think it was worth spending over 1 million pounds on a building that's falling apart and at that end of town.![]()

A fire started in the cellar after closing time one night and by the time the alarm was raised it had caught light to the floor and the fire and was in full flow, so to speak so too late to save it. It was demolished and will no doubt become flats; as it turns out rather a fortuitous fire to a pub that was struggling to keep its head above water and make a living.
