I see nothing in what he said to me as being in the slightest bit offensive. Are we not allowed to discuss people's reactions to opinions they don't like? I have read his comment several times and other than the tone, I pretty much agree with what he has said.
Its not about agreement or disagreement - as @Goldstone1976 said, HS promised not to discuss the subject as a condition of being allowed back after his previous ban.

He broke that promise, hence the action taken.

Not sure that's true about Pedro.
He publicly stated he hadn't heard of him, and was grateful to the recruitment team for getting him

Who knows what was said - maybe by January 2024, he was defending his decision not to use Pedro much, he had become defensive about everything - in July 2023, though, the Argus quotes differently

Colwill wasn’t with us in 21/22.

He played for Potter twice in 22/23 for a total of 12 minutes.
I meant he was a key defender in the 22/23 (typo) squad that RDZ inherited from Potter because people kept arguing that he had it ‘easy’ because Potter had done the work - but you are right, for the first part of the Season under Potter, he was Potters‘ back up CB/LB and on the bench bar a few minutes. He had a run of games under RDZ before injury, then was important for us until the end of RDZ’s first season.

Then as I said, it all changed in the summer window of 23/24 (which was the point I was making) and RDZ not only lost Mackie and Moises but Colwill too which most people seem to forget when we talk about the 2023/4 squad and RDZ’s second season. When Pervis was out with injury in 23/24 (and March, Lamptey and Milner all out too) we didn’t have a decent left back to cover him (Igor also struggling with injury, being much better at CB).

I don’t think it is making excuses when a squad is hit with so many injuries when the squad does not have the depth to absorb them. Hürzeler has the same number of injuries now (10) as we had in December 2023 but we are a deeper squad now after recruiting 4 or 5 PL ready-ish players in our recruitment in the summer.

Potter is experiencing similar difficulties at WHU with his attacking options - he only has one fit forward in Danny Ings (although Bowen is back on grass) - I mean I’m not going to lose any sleep if Potter comes out the other side of the window with the same number of forwards he had going in but if a manager runs out of squad options …🤷‍♂️

With Igor out for the remainder of the season (IIRC), I can't see the club entertaining offers for Webster.
This. There is absolutely no way that's happening unless we get in a replacement.

Potter needs to grow a pair and stop looking back to Brighton to resolve his squad and backroom deficits every-time he wants to prove himself at a new Club.

(I know he doesn’t but I thought the dig was SO de rigueur )

That’s harsh imo, it was in the context of replying to someone else (yet again) digging up old corpses wasn’t it ? HS should have a right of reply when someone else starts talking about him, unless you’re happy to see a one-sided pile-on, which we’ll now get (further derailing another thread)

Maybe he'd have been better saying that it's not fair to attack him on that particular subject as he can't defend himself as he's agreed with mods not to discuss it? But he clearly did start discussing it.

There seem to be quite a few goaders on here. Like badger baiters, dog fighters, or the playground bully who'd throw stones or insults to get a reaction, then run away giggling feeling very pleased with themselves. Nasty minded individuals, in my opinion, who seem to get away with an awful lot.
Unfortunately, one of the biggest goaders of HS (and others, from time to time) also happens to be a moderator.

Back on topic 🙂

Hammers in advanced talks with Leipzig for Andre Silva (which might scupper Arsenal‘s plans for Leipzig target, Benjamin Šeško - Leipzig unlikely to release both forwards)

Anyone know what West Ham’s main forum is called?

Obviously going to be some interesting debate on there, within the next month at least I’d say anyway…

I can't speak for everyone but my problem with Graham Potter was that he took Bruno and Ben Roberts with him. Most managers only take their assistant, and possibly a coach.
I know they weren't coerced and followed the money, but Ben had been with us right back to 2003 when he came on loan.
It's probably my sentimentality, but Bruno declared, once a seagull, always a seagull.

RDZ had his two best players sold, and then had to rebuild, much the same as Fab is doing now. Yes, he threw a strop, because the team didn't strengthen much in January, but he's got a Latin temperament.
If you go back to the American pre season it looks like he was promised Caceido wasn’t moving and Colwill was a huge target.
He also mentioned Kudus later on in the summer that didn’t happen either.
He was left to reducing WBG to tears in training trying to get him up to standard to be the DM which did work and the player admitted it worked.
Pedro says he left the training ground angry many times under RDZ yet was a much better player under him. He plays although I can’t see that same determination this season.
