On what I saw last night I would say it's unlikely but football is a funny old game and it is still possible. Get a midfield that gels and Murray to finish some of the excellent chances HE creates and who knows.

I am positive and am getting 110% behind Dean to drive us towards the Wembley final. We can do it :albion2:

Well the one thing that is FACT is that we've given ourselves a chance for the playoffs, which, after we self destructed in December/January is about as good as anyone could have hoped for.

It'll be very hard work mind, difficult matches coming up. Plus we may only be 3 off 6th place, but there's another 3 points to 5th. All it needs is for Tranmere to have a little run and it makes things even harder.

Next couple of games will be key, unfortunately we never seem to do well travelling to two distant places in the space of a few days.

Anyway, there's still a chance, and I'd say it's a bigger chance than many people believe, but we need to find a way of winning away from home again.

I'm glad there are still people out there who think we have a good chance of making it to play-offs.

The thing we need when playing these away games, especially against the bigger teams, is belief!

If the team believe they are good enough to get results, then they probably will go out and get results.

I really hope Wilkins is a bit more creative and attacking on the road for this next set of away games. It is vital to our promotion chances. The odd 1 point here and there will NOT be enough!

how can some people still be ADAMENT that we are not 'in contention'.

OF COURSE WE BLOODY ARE. game-in-hand away from 6th....which last time i checked, was in the playoffs.

I'd go out trying to win every one and never taking a point, even at Carlisle on Saturday.

That is exactly what we need to do

I just hope Wilkins is of the same school of thought. Because if we are not going into games aiming for a win at this vital point of the season, then we may as well just forget the play-offs completely.

I say trust in God but there again if we did that we really would be f***ed.

Until our next defeat, then you will no doubt be spouting about how DW is not up to it and starting threads slating individual players.
We are definitely in contention for 6th place, but to achieve it the lads are going to have to produce their best performances of the season from here in.

Oh lets be real here. Good result last night....but were we not 1-0 down against a relegation beckoned side???? Until the ref saved our ars*?

The true test of how good we are is against good teams.....carlisle,walsall,forest and leeds coming up.......

The performances of late would not be good enough to get anything from any of those teams.......I hope we can win a couple of those..but anything less and its season over.

No I am 110% behind Dean. I must apologise for having the audacity and temerity of a differing opinion to you I should know by now that you are right on everything from Albion's formation, their managerial appoinments since the second World War and the prediction and curves of long term investment rate trends. Sorry

I cannot believe how negative you are. Liverpool were twice losing to a non league team but no-one says they aren't good enough to be in the premiership. Yes, we do have to beat some teams that are going to be tough apponents but other teams also have to play each other so there is a very good chance of the play-offs

Lets keep this thread bounced and close to the top at all times. We have no chance of getting to the playoffs whatsoever.
