Out of the remaining 14 games we need to win 8 and draw 3 to get the average number of points for a play off play (approx 73)
It is possible (just) but unlikely. We can but hope and it gives the players a target to motivate them.

Yep Id go along with that.

Sadly some of the Away games coming up with end the chances of the play offs in my view.

Next year is the year - If Murray learns to take chances Brighton will have one of the best strike forces in the league.

Gillingham - 3
Carlisle - 0
Walsall - 0 (2 defeats in a row and we're going down according to NSC)
Doncaster - 1
Huddersfield - 3
Swindon - 3
Forest - 1 (the optimism returns)
Leeds - 3
Port Vale - 3
Southend - 1
Luton - 3
Hartlepool - 3
Bristol Rovers - 1
Swansea - 0

3 defeats, 4 draws, 7 wins by the looks of things if I am correct, it may be good enough but I doubt it.

I'd love to take 3 points of Leeds but I reckon it will be a draw (like the last few visits to Elland Rd)

It is more than likely to be a draw, but I still can't forget the 2 points they robbed off us in the 94th minute a few years ago, so therefore I want revenge and 3 points this time around. (like I do every game but this one the most)

I'm with you on that.
In fact, I always want to take 3 points off of them.

In London village.
I never said we were going to do it, it is just not a FACT that we will not. And as a supporter I hope we will, even though I realise it is a tough ask.

Is both the right answer and an antidote to the never ending negativity of a section of our "support".

I think what irks people on NSC is that your negative attitude (and very leading title for the thread) just don't seem to have a positive or constructive angle.

"We're going to miss out on the play-offs"...OK, so why do you think that and what can be done about it so that next season we do get promotion? That's the basis for debate and constructive support.

You've got to understand that the way you frame your argument is provocative and likely to irritate the more positive amongst us haven't you?

If you're going to make entirely unconstructive and negative comments then at least have the decency to make your agenda more clear from the start. it seems that you think Deano is not the man for the job - great, that's your view - so make that clear nice and early on and we can all judge the partiality of your comments in like of that perspective.

Ramble over.

Although we should have won on Saturday, has anyone else noticed that we are actually a POINT CLOSER to 6th position than we were before? It will only be a 3 point gap if we win on tuesday.

We'll finish sixth, win at Wembley, then finish eleventh in the Championship next season. That prediction has nothing to do with the four pints of bitter that I drank at lunchtime.
