Eat less. Exercise more. The end.
Eating a good breakfast everyday makes a huge difference, it kick starts your metabolism and gives you much better energy level throughout the morning. A big bowl of porridge is probably the best thing you can eat to start the day.
Interval training is undoubtedly good, but I'm also sceptical that only 4 mins interval training can burn the same energy as a 20 min steady run. Heavy weight training is also another excellent calorie burner as your body needs plenty of calories to repair and build muscle. You want to be lifting the sort of weight for which it'd not be physically possible to lift more than 8 reps in one set, stick to the big basic lifts such as squats, bench press, shoulder press, pull ups and parralel bar dips, and do 3 sets of each 2-3 times a week. Note that you may not notice the difference on the scales as muscle weighs more than fat, but you will start to notice the difference in shape within 2-3 weeks.
