Based on that performance, you have nothing to fear in a few weeks. Perhaps the bubble has burst. Or maybe we'll put 5 past you. This the championship after all where everyone seems to be as bad as each other

You'll be glad to hear that fans appear to have a shared revulsion to Selhurst Park. So much so that within 5 minutes one of them tried to climb out.

Strangely, taking into account the sometimes over zealous attitude of stewards up and down the country..this rather drunk fellow was left up there for the entire 1st half, until he made his own way down to get a drink at half time.
Put 5 past us:lolol:
Big gulf between our squad and yours pal although if you do get anything it will be a fluke:)

Hi Mongrel, just to let you know, I love Hillsborough, one of the best away grounds to go to, a real sense of history and atmos, it must be great there now you are flying (except saturday)
A few things, noticed you have not responded to the laughing, you seem like a decent chap, I hope you realise its in response to some of the deadheads on your forum and not directly at you, but you probably saw it.
Shame its on Friday night, but this will mean that a lot will stay over, now you are doing well what is the away support like when full of ale. I have a lot of time for proper Wednesday fans, but have any idiots crawled out the woodwork that may cause trouble in/out the ground. Especially as they may be drinking all day.

Do not worry mate, I know what it's all about. I think you need not be insulted too much either. I think it probably all stemmed from when everyone was winding up our friends across the city by basically replying that we are "Massive" to everything. It looks to have escalated into basically one big wind up. It appears to have worked....As I say I don't do the forum thing too much so couldn't give you the full story.

Wednesday fans, as far as I'm concerned are 99 % of what football supporters are about. We tend to follow far, have a reputation of taking decent numbers to quite distant and sometimes "non-glamorous" away games...ironically over the recent years it's even more noticeable due to alot of people being quite surprised by poor home turn outs...

interestingly we have sold only about 1000 so far but that will go up as people sort out transport etc. I think 1600-1900 will not be too bad for a friday 7.45. And as you say its plenty of time to have a few drinks. I have the luxury of being a southerner, so it's not to bad for me!

There is a lot of humour, pretty vocal...and possibly a lot of bouncing...

Like most clubs there is a an element that sometimes lose it a bit. I'm not sure anyone is going to be looking for trouble in Brighton...

Someone decided to bring some flares at the weekend, but that may have just been to get in line with the faux palace ultras who were doing their best to mimic Galatasaray over in the corner. Not very well..by the way.

No chance of much trouble, we can be arrogant sods but we rarely if ever spoil for trouble, what's the point.

A load of Southern Owls will make up the numbers and if we can get 1,500 for the Friday night i'd be impressed, I know Leeds brought 2,500 or so but their away support is the best in the division.

Just sorted out our transport down so cannot wait now.

If you are going to bring less than 2000 can you ask your ticket office to let our ticket office know ASAP?

We have already sold out the home ends and could use the extra 1300 behind the goal.

Apparently according to some on Owlstalk we've sold out the cheap tickets (£28) which is behind the goal.

Not necessarily.

The cheaper tickets are the 2 blocks in the corner and the 2 blocks behind the goal.

The split is something like this:-

S1A and S1B (1200 ish) are the expensive ones are are actually in the East Stand Lower with a good side on view.
S1C and S1D (835 ish) are the corner ones and are £28 tickets.

Most clubs will just take these 2 areas leaving S1E and S1F for us home fans. I suspect your club are holding back selling S1E and S1F with a view to returning them. S1E and S1F are just shy of 1300 seats, minus segregation space.

If I am wrong, then surely you will sell out. Also, if I am wrong, it means you have already sold close on 2000 + whatever number of the more expensive ones you have shifted.

Had sold 1000ish yesterday. When I went to book online, only the more expensive tickets were on sale. I called up and they opened a new block of £28 seats. This was in S1E.

Can see maybe in a weeks time you getting at least 1000 back. Just depends how many people decide late on to come down.
If there are spares then hope they get back to you. No point in standing next to an empty block!

If just over 1000 sold and only pricey ones on offer then it confirms they have flogged the cheapie corner seats (835) and a couple of hundred of the pricey ones. You should still have 1000 expensive ones to go.

It only went on general sale yesterday didn't it?

If you've sold them in that order, then we won't get any back. The way the segregation works, there are only some blocks that can be handed back - the one you've left empty isn't one of them.

Bum, yes. Didn't read the bit about S1E being opened up. We should have sent them 2000 in S1A to S1D and then sent them E and F if they sold those. Now we will have empties.....

Maybe it's showing that the cheaper ones are what the away fans want. They don't want to pay extra for a side on view.

Maybe it would make more sense to offer S1C and S1D (corners), then S1E and S1F for those who can bring more than 1000, and finally for the super supported teams, give them the 1200 in the ESL. At least if we had made this arrangement for Wednesday, we could have shifted the ones in the ESL.

Gus still sort of gets what he wants with home fans behind the goal (well half of it anyway) and there is more atmosphere as the segregation line will be between our noisy south standers and the aways and not the sleepy OAPs in that part of the ESL.

It could be plausible they just sell the tickets and think about the organisation later...if we end up selling x amount this week, they may just send out whatever blocks suit having confirmed with you guys. I only say this as according to my receipt my mate and I will be sitting on each others lap. Same block, seat, row. It may be they are just selling them generically and will organise after.

Please PM any advice (accomodation suggestions, pubs to avoid) you can regarding our plans to do a weekender for the reciprocal fixture in Feb. About 50 blokes (most of us over 40yrs) all interested in a good laugh and a hassle free stay. We've booked nothing yet obviously, but will be coming up early Friday morning via coach and going home Sunday.

Any inside info greatly appreciated.
