What I don't understand is what happens to all the valuable minerals in Ukraine if Trump withdraws his support for the defence of the country,
Surely, Russia just pushes slowly forwards gaining territory and eventually occupies the area containing the valuable minerals.

Trump and the USA then miss out on the pot of underground valuables they so cherish which would of strengthened the future of their technology sector.

If Starmer had any brains or balls he would negotiate a better minerals deal with Zelensky than the one Trump offered.

That would benefit British firms and British taxpayers, we have put a lot of money into this war as well.
US funding to Ukraine €114 bn
UK funding to Ukraine €14 bn

Negotiate a better deal with a fraction of the funding. We’re struggling to find our own military - were suddenly going to replace what the US can supply?

Trump does a deal with Putin to no longer provide aid to ukraine, thus enabling that advance. Putin then rewards Trump.

Do it in partnership with Europe (with European nations as friends, doesn't have to involve re-joining the EU) and it could be a game changer. Very dangerous though - Russia won't accept it.
Probably Putin's new fluffer wouldn't either, but go for it anyway (IMHO).

Accept it? It's got nothing to do with them. What would they do, invade Ukraine?

We won’t singularly, but collectively we might. Shift towards European autonomy in materials, manufacturing and munitions will take time, but it has already begun. Also, don’t forget any US figures claimed aren’t true. It’s now called the Shite House.
