This is exactly the nonsense that the mega rich want us to be saying.

Come on mate, you know the problem isn't people earning £65k in Surrey. The problem is when you have 300 people who combined have the wealth of an entire continent. In 2024, Elon Musk grew his wealth by over $6,000 PER SECOND. He is worth almost half a TRILLION at the moment. That's like the entire GDP of Norway.

We're entering the age of the megacorp, and half the bros in the world think that's a good thing. Yes, our governments have been crap for a decade or two, but do we really think it's better to have a handful of people controlling most of the free wealth?
depends on what "the problem" is. so far your just saying the problem is someone is richer than thou. from the perspective of a subsistance farmer in Bangledesh, you are considerable richer, you're part of the problem too. whats the real problem concerning everyone here? what gets fixed when we take away all the concentrated wealth?

By the arguments above about wealth then surely anyone earning above the global average are just greedy and exploiting the poor, which would mean that virtually everyone in the UK who is employed is guilty of this, seeing as the average global wage is about $12,235 (£9,945) which would include a lot of people in this country who are deemed to be living in poverty
Never thought I’d see Guy Fawkes sticking up for the establishment

The ability for our democracies to be bought and sold.

Changed your mind from yesterday? :)

‘’The wider issue - I am not sure what to make of Starmer yet. I personally liked the era of Campbell and Mandleson who knew how to spin a difficult policy. Starmer doesn't do that, and yet this legislation seems rushed.’’
I am content with Starmer while thinking the legislation seems rushed. Maybe it isn't rushed.

No inconsistency here.

Over arching feeling? Not particularly triggered by anything yet so have one eyebrow raised at those who do seem to be agitated.

Would paying off the national debt be a reasonable way to compare the two parties, since the war say? Who is the party of fiscal responsibility?
That sounds like a good one? Who has historically paid off the most? And can you answer that in percentage and absolute terms so as not to trick us? And also note based on how long each party has had in power, given some parties haven't had much opportunity to pay it off.

Also, what about who spends more?

Do you think it would be possible to ration carbon usage on an individual level?

I'd like our usage to be displayed next to our username. Some people here would have shameful numbers.
