This is exactly the kind of thinking that would get you a place on my employer's Senior Management Team!
Well run it up the flag poll and see who salutes it.

Out of interest then why do the club charge us £30 in our season tickets for travel via Trains and buses? Honest answers please.

The claim is the transport cost is a healthy six figure sum PA to the club and because not many people bought the vouchers last season and travelled for nothing everyone has to pay.

Don't employ 2/3 fluro jackets to tell people not to use the footbridge outside the Swan. They are legally entitled to use it.

Oh, and at the same time, stop paying for the security team at the Swan. They take the profit, now pay your own costs. Especially the sad 'supervisor of security' in the fluro trousers!

Traveled for nothing, you sure? It cost me £10.50 for every home game last season so how is it we traveled for nout?

What?! Is that true? The club pays for the security team at the Swan?!

Yes many people travelled for nothing to every game that were in the actual travel zone as no-one bothered to check tickets

Where possible don't post ticket's arrange for collection only save on postage and stationery.

I do agree with a previous comment to improve on current staff on the catering and make them more efficient and quicker.

Last, totally agree that there are far too many stewards standing round doing nothing on the travel front. I presume that there is a set number of stewards per car, bus, train and spectator.

no one has seen these reports yet so i wish people would stop this theorizing bollocks. CMS great player who we don't know what he earns, Barber is doing a good job and our reputation is on the rise, and brighton and hove albion provide a good bulk of employment for the local area so don't be stupid and suggest get rid of them because if we are hiring them we can afford them and get keep somebody employed. Someone said something stupid about Vicente im sure, we don't know what he earns but when he plays he plays damn well, improves our other players in training, he raises our profile and i know lots of people who follow our club as a second team because of his name and the signings since.

Spot on. Let's stop the knee jerk reactions until we've had an opportunity to see where the loses actually come from.

Whos fault is that. Shouldn't the rail company take responsibility in checking tickets like they do on London bound trains Monday to Friday and also shouldn't the ticket inspectors make everyone go threw the scanners at Brighton station instead of opening the gates and waving everyone threw.

It's not the responsibility of the club to make sure everyone pays their fares it's down to the rail company just like any other day/week/weekend.

It is a team who are at least partially contracted by the club for other duties. The same team who are definately paid for by the club to 'dissuade' people from using the footbridge.

To be honest, sometimes it feels like the club 'owe' the village.

Exactly the point the club should shift the responsibility to Southern Railway

The reason they didn't was BHA covered the cost, why do you think they would care checking if the money is guaranteed ? Take away the payments and you can be sure the gatelines and RPO's would be lined up to check every ticket

I know and I don't blame SR at all as they get paid no matter what, poor commercial decision to an extent although I think BHAFC had little choice.

Makes sure everyone gets their drink and pie - reduce the queues increase supplies and then when everyone is full to bursting and dying for the toilet, do a pay turnstile to have a wee.

Correct, there is little practical choice in order to ensure the efficient throughput of people through both Brighton and Falmer stations pre and post-match.

I fully expect the transport levy to go up next season, possibly by 100%, as the club are still subsidising 50% of supporter transport costs.
