I'd say the odds are more about the fact that we're British rather than the song.

Norway was okay, worthy of being a 'hit' with many I would imagine.

Sweden though, edged it for me.

Its more to do with the ethnic make up of the countries, the further east you go the bigger the minorities in each country. For instance Russians make up a significant proportion of the populations of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Georgia despite the fact the first four don't particularly like the Russian state. On top of that you have language similarities which enable the Poles, Czechs and Bulgarians to at least understand each others entries (I know some entries are sung in English but the originals are done in their own language and promoted in these countries in advance).
