According to this website: https://www.val.se/, the law in Sweden allows somebody who has photo ID to verify the identity of a voter who doesn't possess ID for whatever reason. I'm not sure why that's any more sensible or secure than the system in the UK.
Its not more sensible or secure. Its just pretty funny that some kind of photo ID seemingly is a big issue over there... in most of the world you either got one or you're a muppet. But as I said, I like it, just like I like that you dont have civil registration.
No system is safe. If the powers that be would like to change the votes as they please no one would suspect anything.
