Another pressure group thread, just a couple of Victor Meldrew's in parliament. Forget the whitewash Nige..

For just being a "pressure group" and only having two "Victor Meldrews", UKIP seem to get a lot of people on here rather hot under the collar.

The big question does Nige have enough points for Australian migration?

For a start, the family near us who have decided not to work, having returned from abroad and by virtue of their child being in education get all sorts of freebies, as they claim to have no source of income. Or the hundreds paid in Winter Fuel Allowance to our very good friends who deliberately spend it on the air fare to their second home in Portugal for the winter months. I am sure that you can also recall similar.

If they have no source of income then surely, as a civilised nation, we shouldn't allow them to starve?

As for the Winter Fuel Allowance, I suspect the recipients have paid plenty of money into the system over the years, given that they can afford a second home abroad.

There's a case for means testing for things such as WFA, but the administration costs are likely to exceed the savings.

My son is unemployed and had to prove he's done 30 hours a week of active job seeking online to collect his £53 a week JSA.

He's applied for over 400 jobs, but employers aren't interested in someone on the autistic spectrum. He's now stopped claiming as it's such a futile exercise logging on and being monitored.

I don't call his benefits excessive.

And nor would I. JSA, as I found out last year, is barely a benefit. One hint to your son though - given it's impossible to job search for 30 hours a week as there really aren't that many jobs available - do as I did and fill out the online portal / paper booklet with fake applications. They neither check nor have any ability to check.

I find your lack of acknowledging consequence astonishing.

Your Son has applied for 400 jobs without success, it therefore remains a competitive recruitment environment, however you concede that perhaps a 1000000 immigrants mainly unskilled generally not speaking the language have come here and found gainful employment and you have not conceded perhaps this has directly impacted on your Sons search for a job.

Your Son is British ( I am guessing ) we the tax payer and you as a father have invested in his education, his general care, hopefully he has accessed added support for his autism and other services throughout his young life, we therefore have a vested interest to ensure he gets access ahead of those that have no previous link and absolutely non contributory status to our exchequer for our employment opportunities.

Of course he shouldnt get a job if less qualified than others, but its highly likely that there are many immigrants accessing jobs your son could also do, it isnt a position of hating anyone, I dont think the Canadians, the USA or the Australians hate the English they just recognise the implications of mass immigration and try to reasonably protect there own citizens and there own balance sheets.

He's autistic. It has nothing to do with migration, don't try to make cheap political gains out of it.

I paid for his education privately, as you the taxpayer wanted to send him to a special unit in Plymouth

The great irony of the US recognising the implications of mass immigration.

usually from the chin dribblers who dont even live in this country,

The only people who get 'hot under the collar' in these debates are UKIP supporters when they 'attempt' to explain/defend the latest UKIP laughter inducing moment.
Btw,, people who are 'hot under the collar' are usually not laughing at you.

Apart from the other endless list of failings UKIP has they have absolutely no credible party members.

Man who fiddles benefit system gets annoyed at people who do same.

You know them all personally, do you?

What a very odd question. I have knowledge of the ones that put themselves forward for representation as they go on telly and in public and do odd things.

Hold on, stop the victim position whenever a reasonable point is made, you brought up his autism and I clearly mentioned it in a wholly reasonable way.

You seem to never come back with anything when a point is made, there remains a general political point if any British youngster makes 400 unsuccessful applications for work whilst allowing 1000000 immigrants to vie for employment within the same workplace, then forcing that youngster onto benefits.
