Or maybe cos he can play well in a number of positions, are young, have a good attitude and was highly considered as being a very good prospect, then spending that kind of money is a reasonable punt. So what you are saying is that clubs never take punts on highly regarded young players who can play in a variety of positions? Cos I think you'll find that ain't correct.. Still why bother letting that get in the way of a good conspiracy theory founded on basically nothing.
