WHAT ON EARTH were you watching??!! because it certainly WAS NOT todays game!!!

Kuipers made 2 brilliant saves in the second half to keep the scores within touching distance. Virgo put in a top defensive performance. Dicker weaved in and out of the Villa players at times faking left and right fooling them on the spot. Yes the flash backheels were silly but he performed good!! Forster's no spring chicken anymore and did well to keep up with the pace of the game

I agree with you on every points, other than the Dicker one, he was utter garbage today, I'm a fan of his but he lost the ball 95% of the time and played some absolutely suicidal balls, but Pah, I can forgive him.:p

slightly unfair to judge mcnulty and calderon seeing as they were up against 3 of the best wide players in the country

yeah, mcnulty was well shit, it wasn't like he was against someone good like ashley young or someone

oh

i think calderon actually acquitted himself very well against such opposition,
um, when he was in position of course... which was his failing (still, it showed a lust for adventure, which i for one admire in our new full back)

Exactly. I suppose on a day like today, when most people look to the many positives, others can't resist inflicting their general misery on everyone else, dragging them down with them.

Dicker 7

I would agree that Crofts was poor today, but do you really have to continue with this f***ing imbecilic personal assassination?

Oh yeah, I forgot - it's you: so of course you do.

crofts was VERY anonymous today.

you'd expect a "leader" of a lower league team to really get stuck in and make life hard for the other team. Carpenter, Rogers and Oatway would've done it but crofts didn't. If we're gonna use crofts and our TALISMAN and dominatrix in the centre of midfield then he has to impose himself more

"shame"

No doubting Crofts was anonymous today.

Fortunately, the few times he did get the ball, he didn't completely waste possession, like certain other midfielders out there...

As I'm proved more and more right over time, I'll make sure you're top of the list of those who owe me an apology.

Similarly, if he's ever a regular player in a promotion winning team of ours, I will hold my hands up and admit I was as wrong as it's possible to be.

I'm not holding my breath though.

Your first sentence there makes your second postulation impossible.

Worthing
Kuipers - 7 - nervous at the start. Fantastic save in second half.

Calderon - 8 - first time I've seen him - impressive
Elphick - 7 - better than I've seen him for a while.
Virgo - 7 - dodgy at the start (see Kuipers), got stronger as the game went on
McNulty - 4 - so disappointed. 2 goals were down to him unfortunately. Lost possesion (badly) for the 1st, was not close enough to Young for the header. Hope the injury hasn't finished him...

Crofts - 6 - did ok, but unspectacular
Dicker - 6 - see above
Navarro - 7 - never thought, I'd ever think he played better than Crofts or Dicker, but he did yesterday IMO.
Bennett - 6 - looked intimidated at times.

Forster - 6 - woeful effort in first half
Murray - 7 - played fairly well, also missed a gilt edged chance in first half.

Rated on an even playing field against prem opposition.
Kuipers - good save point blank kicking not great. 6.5
calderon - wanders everywhere but on the ball very good 7
elphick - decent game 7
Virgo - tendancy to hoof but very good in the tackle 6.5
McNulty - cost us two goals out jumped by a much shorter player 5
Bennett - defensive duties well he seems to almost lack confidence within himself if he starts a game well it continues if not then he will just be average 6
navarro - MOM very good with the ball and closing down 8
crofts - very good shift from the skipper and economical with he ball 7
dicker - not asssured as usual think his game is suffering by playing out on the left 6
Murray - no goal but very decent - 7
Forster - scored not much else 6.5

Going to do mine before reading anyone elses. Marks probably aren't particularly weighted to take into account premiership opponents!!

Kuipers - 5 - to be honest, I don't remember him making a save, could have done better with third
Calderon - 3 - great, another full back that can't defend.
McNulty - 2 - turd. Can he defend? Once again, nope. at fault for at least 1 (1st), if not 2 goals
Elphick - 7 - scored, didn't look a disgrace
Virgo - 6 - have seen him have worse games!
Crofts - 4 - totally anonymous
Dicker - 2 - woeful. Everything he did was abysmal really.
Navarro - 8 - man of the match without shadow of a doubt. Would have been more impressive if not for early booking.
Bennett - 6 - tried to push on at times, did well
Murray - 7 - ran his arse off, heavily involved, deserved a goal
Forster - 6 - a generous 6 on the grounds that he scored, but his touch was pathetic and he went missing for 89 minutes to be honest.

Dickinson - 6
Carole - 5
Cox - 5

I suppose if you factor in the premiership opposition thing you can wack everyones mark up by 1 or 2, as on the whole as a team, 3-2 was no disgrace, it was just a shame the timing of the goals was so crap, and that they were a result of fairly basic errors.

 Mong
