I totally agree with this comment on whether Vicente will stay next year. He loves living in Brighton, I'm sure of that. After all it must compare well to living in Valencia, apart perhaps from the weather. He's said he's happy with his current contract. He surely dosen't need loads more money. If he stays fit he will play every week & that's what he wants at this stage of his career, and of course here he's a big fish in expanding pond. At a Big Premiurship Club I'm sure he would be used a great deal less often. He also has Spanish speaking people around him here. He's proved his loyalty to Valencia staying 11 years. I truly believe he likes it here & he knows the fans Worship him. Don't be surprised if Gus convinces him to stay, but that maybe on the agreement that better technical & quality players arrive at Brighton in the Summer. Let's be positive & wait & see what happens.

how old are you 12?

If only i was 12 life would be far easier. I take it you dont agree that someone who has played 243 time for Valencia and 34 times for Spain appears to be completely fit and on a free transfer be of interest to the top prem teams? I guess we will see what happens in the summer.

Vicente looks like the kind of man who, after playing in Spain his whole life, needs to feel comfortable where he's playing in England. From his interviews he's settled in well at Brighton, but still relies on Gus/Calde for translation. I'm not saying he won't go, but it'll need to be the perfect fit for him. I don't think Reading offers that.

If he had a chance for a top prem team he would of gone as soon as he left Valencia.

I'd never seen him in the flesh before Tuesday. Just cannot BELIEVE that having recently fielded the likes of Kevin McLeod and Nathan Elder, we now have Vicente. What a stunning player to watch. If he goes, he goes. If he stays, he stays. He has been fantastic for us.

I think that Vicente will go wherever Gus goes in the summer. Hopefully that won't be West Ham.

I doubt whether Gus and his family will be taking Vicente on holiday with them. I am sure Gus needs some privacy instead of being followed everywhere by one of his players. :lolol:

Does anyone get the feeling that the warmer weather has aided his recovery and fitness or is it just a coincidence that he was out for the winter months?

Excellent riposte, delivered with the same degree of mischievous insouciance fully deserving of the remark.

I'd say it's more likely that players take time to get up to full fitness, we didn't rush him back and we have an incredible medical team.
